Still working as of December 9th 2023, thank you so much for the guide! My prayer potions THANK YOU. I'm 900kc dry on the Primordial Crystal and it's just so tedious using a timer to ghost skip. These kills are definitely taking me longer than ghost skipping but I don't even care, the supplies I'm saving and how chill this is. 10000% preferred.

28/06/24 there is currently a bug, cerb will move off you if you just click the gate once, right now you have to click every tick to prevent cerb moving

Just want to let people know as of 31/01/2024 this method still works 100%, Like the video says just remember to click on the door after every action you perform, whether it be attacking, switching weapons or drinking a potion. Thanks for the great guide.

I think there is some sort of render distance u can change on runelite in settings that lets you see further and lets you click at max distance.@@YD-bk9zj

I seen Alfie do this tactic. u need the GPU or HD plugin turned on with the render distance to 90. it can't be done on mobile or without the render distance to click the red X. Well done making it simple.

Works perfectly, just had change render distance in the Runelite GPU to 90 as someone here mentioned. Remember if you click any item in your inventory, Cerberus will move to attack you so you'll have to flinch him again. And only works for melee it seems.

I found this video yesterday and i just want to add onto it for some potentially faster KC. first of, use thralls. the hp bar doesn't disappear above head if you do but if you have monster hp plugin on that's by default top left you can use that bar instead to time your hits because that one does disappear. secondly, dharoks is just as good if not better and way cheaper compared to some of these setups. I'm averaging around 2 minutes a kill with super combat potion and NO piety.

Not sure if im doing something wrong. Attacking, shift clicking under, then immediately click the door but it doesnt stall cerb. He walks around and i have to keep clicking around to stay under him. Did they change something or am I doing it wrong. I have tried clicking fast as possible on the door, doing it more smooth but cant get him to stand still during the red x

this guide got me pegs + prim within like 70kc, thank you. A suggestion is if you have dharok - just locator orb to 1hp and flinch with dh on crush, i think its better damage. Set up quick prayer to piety and rapid heal. But one misclick is death basically. Bring arclight, slayer helm and defender to spec at start of every kill (or bgs or whatever if u got)

IF you cant click the gate, its because, the render distance needs to be higher BUT ALSO you need to turn on compute shaders under the same settings and restart the plugin. Also, older devices that are not supported wont go higher than the default 25 render distance as stated in the runelite wiki, so if you dont have a newer pc you wont be able to do this :C

Anyone know if Jagex updated this so that it doesn't work anymore? Whenever I'm under Cerberus the door is way out of sight and I can't click on it.

Still working may 2024 and unless you hear jagex mention fixing red x it will always work. You need to have gpu on and your draw distance set high enough so you can interact with the gate. Tested it a few times and got poisoned once on my way. The poison hits did not interfere with the red x. Might be useful to someone out there. Great method for an iron without a spectral.

hey man, I gotta say this video is awesome and a life saver. i just unlocked cerb and was looking at guides thinking to myself wtf i seriously gotta count for attacks to fight a boss? your video showed up on my recommended one day after unlocking cerb, and is just so useful, i can just relax in the boss room and kill him without worrying about anything. i also tried dhing which made the kills incredibly quick but its so easy to mess up one click and have to tele out. 10/10 video, hope you make some more. im wondering, did you come up with this method or has this been well known for a while? seems like it might get patched.

Thank you very much bro I appreciate it! I was in the same boat, the red click mechanic has been used for years but didn’t see anyone else utilising it here. This will most likely not get patched as you can use this at multiple bosses e.g. Bandos, Baba which I’ll be showing soon, GL on the prims!

1 defense pure here “Vls Korasi” on 1 def high scores #65 currently. 1250 kc utilizing Elder Maul for main hand & Ancient Godsword for spec to regen health with great dps as well. 30 kc per trip easy. Thanks!

I'm doing it perfectly fine 2 days after your comment, 0 ghosts in 50 kills. Try being quicker on stepping back under him to red X the exit.

So on my ironman i have the exact gear you have for melee minus the prims(i rock the manacles) however i also have twisted bow, will ranged work for this method and if so do you think the light bearer with claw is gonna overall beat out the tbow? im not sure how to dps calc for something like this ik the fang isnt as good as tbow at cerb but the claws with light bearer is a shit ton of dps. let me know what you think mate.

I'm assuming you don't want to do what's shown in the video. In that case, you get faster kills with melee with decent gear like arclight or bludgeon because you can lower it's defense with bgs or dwh but you will take a decent amount of damage. Tbow is a good option, the kill time will be a bit longer but range is more chill and won't take much damage as compared to melee. Don't forget to bring spectral spirit shield if you have it.

Cerb has 100 defense, so it's not worth for reducing defence or attacking normally with it. Just bring a Godsword on crush and you'll be fine. Edit: I read dwh, so this advice is unnecessary.

i bring dh here and it's extremely good. if you make a fuck up you have like 3-4 ticks to react to tele or eat, since cerb will attack you with a projectile instead of meleeing you.

@@aldofuenzalida6479 I just tested to see if they would work and they do but you can't rely on the health bar disappearing to flinch it. I think there is a default plugin on runelite that shows the hp of whatever you're fighting and once that disappears you can hit it again
