@@ricklad129 thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. As for the marine mat… I don’t have a link for it. I got it from a guy on facebook alumacraft group. But, you can go to an Alumacraft dealer and order it, if you’d like.

3/4” MDO plywood for the backing plates on the Hummingbirds. Really strong, plus water resistant. Overkill, really, but why worry if you don’t have to? Great video, Mons.

This video is the best, thanks! Exactly what I needed. I’ve been debating for the last month on either a lund impact or a fsx. I’ve heard from people that the fit and finish just isn’t comparable to Lund. Did you look into any lunds when buying? And what is your thought?
@JMonOutdoors6 ай бұрын
You’re welcome… thanks for compliment and for watching, I appreciate it! As for your questions, I think they are very comparable but have the exact same issues if any arise… so why spend that much more just for the name?! The buddy that rigged my battery and fuse box stuff, said he now likes the Alumacrafts better in comparison to the impact XS, thinks they are better built and value. I personally think they are very similar and like I said in the vid, bought my lithium batteries from Amped and my trolling motor… and then some… for the cost difference of Lund. I didn’t want to be forced to get Mercury either, wanted a Yamaha… also in comparison to Lund… you can get up to 175 HP for Alumacraft if you want and only to 150 for the Lund. Hope I answered what you wanted, but I love this stuff, so if you have more, don’t hesitate to ask. 👍🏼

I think the savings I’m looking at between the two is upwards of 8 grand with Alumacraft rebates right now. I got one more stupid question, if you don’t mind. Can you fit your tackle backed upright in a row in your drawers under the console? I noticed yours were stacked.
@JMonOutdoors6 ай бұрын
@@turrellandsons holy moly. That would absolutely be a no brainer to me then! Alumacraft all the way! I guess I never tried but I’m thinking for the size that I have, doubtful, but if I can… I will let you know differently.

I have never heard of a transomer saver that goes down to the trailer causing lower unit damage..... Good video..
@JMonOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Well I never or he never said that it will do damage… he just made the point that you’re more likely to damage your lower unit using that style vs using my style and damaging your transom. Thanks for the comment and compliment… appreciate you watching 👍🏼

the trailer to lower unit type were actualy caving gear hosings in on mid to late 90s O.M.C LOWER UNITS!! if motor was in warranty they would not warranty if found that this style was in use!! they actually had a trailering support made on their larger motors( i have one been in 20 yrs no problems

Jeremy, when speaking about the ACC switch - you are saying there is a pre-run wire from factory up to the front which you used for the heading sensor? Or did you run the wire? Again great video thanks!
@JMonOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Sorry… there was a pre run wire to the front from the ACC switch. It was actually sticking out from the front “wall” of the bow, but we pulled it back through and used it for the puck or heading sensor. Thanks for watching, appreciate it 👍🏼. Hopefully it helps.

Jermey I was wondering what do you get for top speed with your 150 on that boat. Also I have a 2022 competitor and thinking about adding the back rest cushions that are on the front of your councils, do you know how they are attached?
@JMonOutdoors6 ай бұрын
My top speed is little over 48 mph. But like today, had good chop and my Dad and daughter in it on Mille Lacs and I was between 46-47 for top. But by myself on glass, can get close to 49. I’m pretty sure they are bolted or screwed on from backside but don’t know 100% cuz I have never seen the screws or bolts lol. They are nice to have tho.

I have been using an actual transom saver mounted on trailer to lower unit 39 years on same boat . New boat 2023 Alumacraft Voyageur has a Shorelander custom trailer with a Shorelander transom saver . Dealer saying you may damage lower by using what was designed by factory is very questionable at best . Hydraulic saver is the correct term for what you have . It does nothing to take the load off transom . Nice rig you have .
