I’ve had new Corvettes , that rip your eyes out In straight line performance and handling, that I couldn’t wait to sell after a 2k miles .they were not for every day use, my tuned Ford 3.5 was smoking fast , but ride killed you . I drove a 530ix , wasn’t the fastest, but the ride and handling are great, and I live in the mountains so I love the x drive . Best car all around I’ve ever owned

I bought one. Mine doesn’t wirelessly charge unfortunately. Very smooth car. Low road noise. Easy and nice. Not a monster engine or anything but suitable for most

Love the satin woodgrain, but do not like the black gloss plastic on the center console. Wish BMW would get away from that high gloss plastic. That's what kia does right. BMW fan here so thanks for posting this. Cheer's!!

Nice review. Have you ever had a chance to compare 2021-23 530i with M-sport package to the same year 530i without M-sport package? Wonder if the M-sport makes the suspension way too stiff, or do they provide a nice balance between comfort/sporty without being uncomfortably stiff? Thank you.

Thank you, I have a 2022 model which I’ll leave the link to. I did drive the 5 without the m sport, I hope this is the link, it does change the drive but I find a good balance as it’s longer than the 3. So it gives the sporty drive but it still feels luxurious. The BMW 5 series 2022 is a Better luxury Sedan than Audi? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKvbmaGHnJuZe6c

@@HawkeyeRidesthank you. I was pretty set in my mind in terms of getting a 2022-23 530i xdrive (with premium pckg) CPO'd lease returns and such, as they are under or around $38K-40K nowadays. But a friend of mine kept telling me to go for the ones with "M-sport pck + premium pck". I loved the comfortable and balanced drive of the "non"-Msport 2022 I drove few months ago which was same as you drive here, but I never had a chance to drive one with the m-sport one as they are less common and they are usually ~$2.5-3.5K more expensive. I wonder if it is worth specificly pursuing the 530i xdrive with M-sport and prem pcks as my friend strongly suggests. I may have to travel to other states or have one shipped out to me to find this combination (xdrive , msport + prem pck + low miles and cpo'ed) . :) Thank you. Fyi: (1) my friend owns a 2023 X3 with m-sport pck. But x3 is a totally different ball game which I am not a fan of :) (2) I currently drive a 2019 Volvo S60 with 19" wheels (40 sidewalls). I literally hate its super stiff ride. It is good on highways or on very soft high quality asphalt roads. But once you start driving in and around the city on normal crappier roads you feel the uncomfortable compromise they made towards extra stiffness in suspension. The car literally bounces off of anything on the road; manhole covers, potholes etc are night mares to drive over. And in terms of cornering it does not feel sporty at all! İt feels like a large sturdy truck. Nowhere near the sportiness of a 3 nor even A4/5. I even thought about downsizing to 18" wheels with 45 sidewalls but I was told the difference is soo miniscule it is not worth spending extra $2K for that. I replaced oem sporty pirellis with something on the comfort side , (bfgoodrich), and the ride got slightly softer but it is still very uncomfortable, and this vehicle is not worth keeping any longer. Now, I want to go for the more comfy drive of the 5 series or an A6. But I fear if the M-sport on a 530 would make it too stiff again which I would literally hate.

@@HawkeyeRidesso you are saying I can safely go for a 2022-23 cpo'ed 530i xdrive with M-sport and premium packs as this M-sport provides a nicely sportier drive without compromising its comfort/luxurious ride. :) so a 530i with m-sport feels more luxurious/comfort tuned than a 3 series (without M-sport pck).

Debating between this or a lexus es 350 f sport. Any thoughts?

Both will be smooth but a lot more savings on the Lexus side. I would wait for the 25 models first before going either way and if your not going 540i than go with the Lexus. You will have the same fun factor and warranty.

I know the point of a 5 series BMW is luxury, but for 50k, that’s not good power compared to a honda that you could buy for 20k less. Stock Accord 2.0 is 252hp 273lb-ft torque

I agree bur dynamic the Bimmer is better but on a straight road the Honda Accord was awesome 👍

@@HawkeyeRides True, but most people daily drive their cars and majority of the time drive on straight roads, not canyons. It’s just ridiculous in my opinion to pay an extra 20K to have a BMW badge and not have BMW power

@@Bapu4President if it was me I would drop trims to the m340i but if I needed the room it has lots of interior space but more of a get your feet wet, performance you will want to go up a trim or two.

Bmw underrated this engine it actually has 320 hp the crank and puts down 270 to the wheels on the dyno in stock form. Truthfully,all you need is a piggyback tune to increase the boost...for under 250 and your touching 400 hp.
