Those shifters look really cool but weird at the same time, not sure how I feel about them but great review !

Paddles or the gear selector? Either way thanks for the comment!

Best review yet, honestly. Been watching quite a few since I bought mine 3 months ago. So, maybe you can answer 2 questions for me. The shifter has a +/- on it which engages when I move the shifter to the left, and there are paddle shifters attached to the steering wheel. So, which is which, are they the same, I have no idea, so I haven't touched neither of them yet. Also, I keep it in regular comfort mode, and I only get 20 mpg. Thanks.

Thanks man! You can use the paddles at anytime it’s just if you don’t put the gear selector in the manual or +- mode, the paddles will shut off and put you back into regular drive if you don’t use them for 5 or so seconds. If the shifter is in +-, you can hold gears as long as you want and also shift with either the paddles or gear selector. Both do the same thing.

@@WTFCRLT1 Well, first of all, thanks for the quick response. That answers most of my puzzle. After your video, I put it in drive and moved it left to the +/- and saw "S1" and without touching anything, I watched it move up and down by itself. Once I grabbed the shifter, it went into "M" mode, then I started moving the car the way it was meant to be moved. I did try the paddle shifters afterwards, they seem to be a calmer way of getting the same results, because I kind of scared myself with the shifter. I'm an old clutch guy, and while there's a difference on the down shifting and rev matching with a clutch, going up in gears at your RPM choice makes it fun, and scary. So, last comment. I'm confused when I put it in sport mode, while I don't control the shifting it is more aggressive, but it seems that I still have the option in Sport mode to use the paddles or the shift knob when it's moved over to the +/-. I'm puzzled.

Hello. How’s the reliability been so far for your BMW 530i??? Have you had any issues? I see a 2022 model with convenience package on Autotrader for $40K and plan on getting it. Does anyone know the long term reliability of 530i?

@@leom00n79 Check the value online of the car you're buying and of course the mileage. Before you go for 40K of your money, go over the car completely, ask for service records, drive it because someone who doesn't report an accident, the accident won't show up on CarFax. The old saying is, "you don't want to buy someone else's headache".

Whoa did this guy just compared BMW to KIA/Hyundai? Why???
@WTFCRLT13 жыл бұрын
Hyundai/ Kia make the best turn signals IMO haha nothing serious. Probably only area I’d compare the 2 manufacturers outside of infotainment.

yeah lol, I was going to say, why would you compare a premium brand to a lower end brand....
