I appreciate that you had an open mind and accepted the car for what it is. (I know it sounds progressive , and I'm nowhere near in that spectrum) The car is the future and most of the people are afraid of the new that's why they're criticizing it. It's the only V8 with a plug-in hybrid that I'm aware of in the car world. I like it!

Frank let us all down with this one. No split tailgate, no towing capability, no fast charging (7kw), no 2wd (Fun mode), and no panoramic or sunroof. 😩 I’ll keep my X5 and M8

This wasn't a high spec to be fare. Higher ones may have some of those options. I think this is more towards a performance SUV rather then a 100% functional SUV like an X5 or X7

@@BrosFOURRSpeed I was at the private unavailing in Tampa, unfortunately they’re aren’t many options and everything I mentioned is accurate. PLEASE go drive an X5 or X6M competition and you’ll see what I mean.

Someone buying this might not need to tow or anything. Just depends on what you like and want. I agree some of those should be added but maybe the next model year will.

@@Hudsoncal5 you need to do your homework. 😂 the XM has the same 2700kg towing capacity of the X5M Competition, there is no fast charging for hybrid vehicles, it only has a 29.5kWh battery so no need for CCS fast charging - the battery simply isn’t large enough to handle the electrons speed since pure EV’s slow down to hybrid levels at the end as well, which is the amount of battery that the XM has, so even with fast charging, it would charge the same as level 2 like pure EVs do anyway. Pure EV’s only fast charge from 5% to 85% - 85%-100% is the same speed as the XM. No BMW SUV has 2wd mode, no need - can’t say I’ve ever wished my X5MC has rear wheel drive 😂. The split tailgate is already an inconvenience on my X5M, with the XM being longer than the X5, it would be pointless to have a split tailgate and end up having to climb in to get all your stuff by the rear seats, so it was smart they didn’t add it.

Hey Bros, I'm curious if you realize that the XM you drove was still in factory "break in mode". First 300 miles, you do NOT get full power, redline is 4500rpm. The car is much faster after break in. All new M60 (new V8) engines now come with that break in period.
