I have had both, booster is a pure driving machine and probably the best balanced drivers car out there. That said the little BMW can do 0 - 60 in a little over 6.5 seconds and return 50+ mpg and carry my golf clubs in the boot / trunk with the roof down. Porsche can’t do that.

It hasn’t got a 48volt mild hybrid system. Also many things you mention are options, not standard.

The reason for the space in front of the engine is to push the weight back to improve handling. It is not so they can put in a bigger engine, although they could if they chose to.

They not only could if they chose to, they do in the M40i, the engine IS bigger and especially longer. So yes, the engine is all the way back for the weight balancce, but the space is also to fit in the bigger engine.

That's nice and I think the dark purple is a superb colour. Not a fan of automatic gearboxes I wish they had an entry priced manual only 2.0l I'd a nd 1.5 and a Z3 1.9,the pleasure you get driving a roadster is hard to describe ❤

@@Juergen_Mueller Actually, a Boxster S starts at $82,000 and a Z4 M40i starts at $66,000. I'm saying the M40i is better despite a near $20,000 increase in price. The pricing was not linear in my comment.
