He’s not shifting too soon, that was right at the limiter. Do you want him to blow his engine up?

He’s shifting at about 6300-6500 RPM. The rev limiter on LT1 engines is set at 6600 RPM. He literally can’t shift any later.

Only reason I would say he’s shifting early because when I’m in 4th gear I can ride mines out until 140 he shift into 5 and I do see that he’s pass 6k rpm but hey each car is different

He's taken it to redline 6500. Big heavy 2SS. The power in the pushrods drops off at 6100 rpm. No point taking it past 6200.
