Production optics? Does the video mean carry optics? I thought you had to be in limited or limited optics to have a thumb rest? I don't see how this could be production optics even if that. It also looks like the mag is extended. Even if production optics is real I don't see how this could qualify

No but it allows for extended slide stops. So as long as the thumb rest is attached to the gun via the slide stop hole and not screwed into the frame you are good to go.
