Furniture came from Vista CA after they closed as a 2.0 (1 of 2 closures as a 2.0)

"This is a really old store" Indeed it is. I used to come here as a kid in the 1980s and played at the arcade that used to be on the east side of the building (turn left) when you walk into the entrance. It was really dim back then, like most arcades at the time. The arcade cabinets used to line up on the south wall of the building, the side where the four smaller Chuck E. Cheese pictures are hung. The skeeball lanes are exactly where they were 40 years ago, and there used to be a Spy Hunter arcade (the sit-down version) to the right of the skeeball lanes. The animatronics used to be at where the Dog Pounder and other games are. The current room of the animatronics band used to be much smaller in the '80s with a small number of booths and tables and one animatronic that dresses up like Elvis Presley holding a guitar. Don't remember what animal it was, but it certainly wasn't a rhino! In 1990 or 1991, the Scripps Ranch Chuck E. Cheese remodeled. Gone were most of the arcade games, but they retained some classics like Ms. Pac-Man and Paperboy. There was even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade game. I was in 9th grade around that time and started to lose interest in coming here. I was more interested in playing Samurai Shodown and later the King of Fighters series. These games, of course, aren't exactly "kid-friendly". Also, if I remember correctly, I had a friend and classmate in 4th grade named Anthony Harrison whose father owned the business in the '80s. Thanks for the showing the place, TicketMaster1000! I haven't been inside since 1993-ish. 😊

I worked at this location from 1998-2001. The showroom used to be in the room you went to after passing the soda machines. The stage was several feet off the ground and located against the wall where the Chuck E. Cheese's rainbow game is. Where the showroom is now was not part of the original store. They expanded while I worked there, but did not relocate the showroom until years later.

Oh wow! I wonder when they relocated this showroom.

Didn't know they expanded around that time. Then again, I haven't been inside since 1992 or '93. And I remember the old showroom used to be where the smaller games like Dog Pounder are now.

im pretty sure where the dog pounder game is where the balcony stage used to be because the current show room is short and if it wasnt the show room it was most likely the caberet

Thx for posting this even though this is a couple months old! I love this store mainly because of how good conditioned their stage is, but the only thing I don’t like is how strict the tech is, he is really protective of the stage and I have to be careful of him whenever I go.

Yeah. I don’t like these low stages. Too many trust issues with everyone messing with it

They’ve had the 2.0 booths for years now, it’s not a sign of 2.0

Usually when Chuck E. Cheese Cyberamic stages are that low it probably was a road stage (i literally don’t know if that’s right lol) Edit: probably not getting 2.0 anytime soon. The Staten Island NYC location had 2.0 carpet years before they got 2.0
@CyberstarChuck Жыл бұрын
This stage wasn’t a road stage even though it does look like that! This store opened with a C Stage and immediately converted to a 2 stage, although the stage was on the opposite side of the store, but when they remodeled in 2006 they moved the stage to another room that wasn’t even originally apart of the restaurant which is the room they are in now!

Remodel? How so? Its not been stripped of animatronics yet let alone all of the art i cant imagine them keeping any of the locations not 2.0 as corporate is hellbent on renovation and destroying the old which is a shame really wish theyd modernize the bots and restore them
@ticketmaster1000 Жыл бұрын
Yeah. It really is a shame. Maybe one store gets preserved who knows
