hi Nicole hope all is well you've been so helpful! just wanted to get your opinion about a bootcamp called Sabio? it's fully funded by the VA through the vet tech program and wanted to know what your thoughts are to do this and then transition into cyber security.. the boot camp is becoming a full stack developer and then i plan on WGU cybersecurity

So I live in California where it feels like by the hour it's getting more and more expensive to live. I have to stay here though so that being said I've been looking into getting into a field as fast as possible. I don't expect everything to be free as far as learning/testing goes but I am afraid to pay for a class and it not be for me when money is already tight. I know you said AWS has free classes for some things but I'm finding it very difficult to kind of navigate what is what for a beginner. Do you have any advice on where to start within AWS? Any information would be great. Really love the videos but I am going though information over load right now, haha. Also, I'm looking into GRC because of not necessarily needed to know how to code and was wondering if there was anything you could recommend for that as far as a path on where to start? Sorry for all of this. I just feel like I'm sprinting in a million different directions with no idea on where to go.

Hey! I'm in the process of learning AWS myself. Let me tell you it is very confusing. I plan on making a video when I have it sorted out. Youre not alone .Gerald Auger has a great GRC master class. He also has tons of videos on the topic

Love your channel Nicole, I am from Australia and already a Cloud Architect in a BIG company. Looking to get into pure Cloud Security and I did CCSK already. Next is CCSP > DevSecOps. Then followed by Cloud Security of either AWS, GCP or Azure. Does that sound OK to you? Or you can suggest something better? Thanks 😊

You probably know enough to start applying for any of them. It all boils down to what peaks your interest. Sometimes, job applications is just a game of numbers.

what do you think about SANS? as they offer mostly GIAC certifications... How do they rate vs COMPTIA certs?

SANS is really good training 10/10. If you have no experience/knowledge in the field I suggest CompTIA. If you want to gain a niche down skill SANS is good, but kind of pricey. Still better than a bootcamp though

@@carlosarteaga1092 I have gone through the Masters and can recommend. I think most cybersecurity bootcamps are cash grabs, but again I have never gone thorugh their program so cannot say it if it is worth the pricetag.

Sorry guys but there aren’t any REAL entry level cyber security jobs anymore. There a LOT of mid-senior level jobs but entry level roles? You’re gonna have to get very lucky. That’s not counting the fact you’re going up against hundreds of other people in the same situation.
