100-100/18 Trakmaster is still my favorite rear tire for the 250/300 dual sports. Around or under 30hp, it really helps the motor cuz its the lightest DOT tire but still one of the best biting dirt tire cuz of the wide side lugs. As the center wears down those side lugs start coming into contact more, it keeps its bite until its almost completly bald. Dont need a heavy rear tube, keep it at 14-15 psi and it still bites like an air'd down tire.

How long do they last
@tieoneon1614
@tieoneon1614 8 ай бұрын
@@Skatefishofficial Not long if u are riding pavement mainly. 1000 miles usually. Its my "offroad" tire....not my dual sport tire. I put it on for desert trips or when I know Im going to trucking bike to trails certain parts of year. But they are cheap enough if u wanted to just ride where ever and not worry about it.

I live and ride in the high desert of SoCal. So a good mix of sandy and rocky desert and mountains. The Kenda Track Masters work great. I have read reviews of folks who like the back but who say the front washes out or what ever. They may be right! Where I ride I don't experience that. But I have learned over the years to listen to the folks who ride in a certain area what generally works best for them and follow their advice. Different soils and other conditions certainly play a role in what tire work best. I have no clue on how well the Kenda's would work on snotty slippery wet clay soil or mud. So I would ask someone who rides that stuff what works for them. Thankfully, we have choices.

I just bought my first bike - 2022 Susuki DRZ400-S - I was considering the Dunlop 606 but now after seeing your video - I might be leaning toward the AMS Bites. Great information - Thanks!

The IRC GP610 is by far the best dual sport tire for bikes up to 450cc. It’s not even close.

I run the Pirelli MT21 front and rear. I mostly ride off-road and find the Pirellis work well in a wide range of conditions.

I bought the Dunlop Geomax EN-91, front and rear for my 2023 KLX300, haven't mounted them yet, waiting for late spring to do it because at 200+/- miles in February, still breaking in on the street and a little bit of dirt. The stock Dunlop D605s are great on the road, but terrible off road!

They should perform well. Make sure you check back in after you get some time on them.

I have a set of MotoZ Tractionator RallZ on my 21’ Husqvarna fe350s and I think they’re great! They’re definitely geared towards mostly off road but they aren’t too bad on road which I don’t do a lot of besides connecting trails but you should check them out and maybe put them into your rotation.

The only knock on the trak master for me is what makes it so great off-road makes it not so great on . I had a tube split at highway speed with the trak master mounted and it is so soft that getting the bike slowed down with that tire squirming around was down right dangerous . I won’t run one for dual sport anymore because of that . Looking forward to hearing how the en91 treats you

I’ve been there, dead in water once they are flat. I’ve ridden on flat 606’s up to 5 miles up to 40mph. That is a strong positive of the 606. Thanks for the great input!

Just buy a tubeless system especially if you’re running dual sport and not primarily dirt. Can’t roll over bead or blow out. Rode my trakmaster 40+ miles on railway gravel, hard pack, and asphalt fully flat to get home. Got home and plugged it and ran it for another 1500 miles without leaks.

I have the Trax master tires on my DRZ400S I ride at least 90% off road and I have over 6000 miles on them so far. I really like the rear tire but the front trak master is not as good of a tire in my opinion and will not use again.

The last 2 front trak masters I’ve tried didn’t do well on road even when properly balanced, I have moved to Dunlop EN91 & Bite MX . On the bikes. I do still have a trak master on the ktm though.
