I'm just going to mark my spot here. Right now SVJs are $900K. Check back next year, end of 2023, you'll see them for $600k. Right now SF90s are $700K, check back in a year and they'll be around $500k. I have a perfect spec 765LT Spider, realistically worth $625k (not 750k), in a year you'll be able to get it for about $500k. Nobody can predict, but these are my assumptions based on the real world activity happening around us right now. Nearly every exotic is going to be worth 20% less in a year. What happened in 2020 - 2022 was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, we will never see it again. SVJs will one day be $400K, in about 3 years, there's just too many of them and they have to follow the natural depreciation curve before they ever come back up. It was a fun ride driving these cars for free for a while, but it's pretty much over if you buy anything used right now, you will get hurt. Same with the watch market, this is turning into 2008 all over again. We're going to see some bounce back in the spring but after the summer of 2023, it's going to be a run for the doors and all these cars are going to be a hot potato. Huge buying opportunities a year from now.

cant wait to see that, I screenshot your prediction so we can make a video about it in 1 year.

Thanks for thoughtful comment. Inflation is going to keep prices a bit too high though. I don’t see the drop being as much as you predict because of that.
@XennialGuy2 жыл бұрын
@@markacarbone To some degree, yes, inflation will keep them from plummeting below a certain point. But an SVJ is a $550k car with a couple options, loaded up, around $600k. When they go for $1M in a matter of two years, that's not inflation, that's retarded. The average MSRP of a new car has gone up maybe 10% or 15% the last 3 years, not 90%. Natural depreciation curve for a non-numbered supercar is somewhere around 50% after it's out of production for a couple years. I'm only saying SVJs will drop 25%-30% below their MSRP in three or four years, and will be slightly above MSRP in exactly one year, and that's taking inflation into consideration. It's not unreasonable to think this will happen. Historically, the Murcielago's, Gallardo's, F430's, and even some special cars all dropped 50%-60% or more at one point, and history just keeps repeating itself. The fact is, cars went up way too fast because of a combination of overnight crypto millionaires, free money, and chip shortages. But almost overnight, many of those crypto millionaires evaporated, lost their funds in two exchange failures, or are underwater in their Wall Street or real estate investments. I don't want my car to drop in value, it's worth quite a bit more than I paid and I wish it would stay that way, but the fact of the matter is, it won't as time moves on and new models come out. The SVJ is not going to even be on anyone's mind once the replacement hybrid comes out, It will be the best of both worlds. The replacement will finally be fast to match the looks, and will still have the sound, And this goes for many other hybrids like the 720S/750S replacement, the 296, etc. Let's be honest, a $225k 600LT has a good chance of beating an SVJ in a straight line or around a track, there's no real reason why it should be $900K. What made it $900K were dealers trading them around, similar to the way it happened with the G-Wagon hot potato mess, or even the housing market. Now the dealers are stuck with these SVJs and all they can hope for is to keep the price high, but there are already some listed in the high $600k's., with over 60 of them available in the market as of Dec 25, 2022.

THUMBS UP. so hard to predict this stuff because i never cared about stock cars much or , even worse, cars that has some kind of package on it specific to a previous owner. It has ZERO RELEVANCE on how rare or "sought after" the package/car combination is. every car I buy has to be modified to be a car WORTH OWNING. and also, this widely spread out of proportion obsession with noise, " i have to have noise for a car to be exiting" is just so unbelievably empty-headed that I never see a day when I would be able to see where these opinions are grounded.
@ricsu34622 жыл бұрын
I don’t see any downside in the new AVs, it’s still a v12 naturally aspirated which means it will sound great, it got boosted by electric motors so we know it’s fast and it’s got a dct so we know it’s easy to operate and no longer move like a cripple in slow city driving. The current AV will be at a sig discount with so many made. I think the SVJ will have its place with the carbon overload and ALA, maybe the SV too but regular Av will not go much higher. I don’t think it will be worthless tho,as it’s timeless and very distinct from the murcie and will always be a bargain v12, but it won’t skyrocket (high maintenance, unreliable, leaky gear box, needs mods to look and sound great). They just don’t sell some cars I follow have been on the market for over 10 months
@BigtimeBigA2 жыл бұрын
Most people that have never owned an exotic don’t realize how much ownership costs are between service and repairs, I think with the huge decrease in maintenance and repairs you typically get from electric, this could bring more people into exotic market.

Bought a 488 Pista about 3 years ago, great spec like the light blue one you used to have, just in white. No after 2 year wait, I got my SF90 from the dealer. what a great performance. BUT: The SF90 has no soul - The Pista however feels like a Ferrari should feel. Used it on the race track a few times. One hell of a ride!!! I also think the Pista is a much better investment and will go further up. I better get rid of the SF90 as soon as I get at least the MSRP. What do you think PJ?

I believe 2024 the global economy could be one of the worse recession to date. It has potential to equal the great depression. If anything close to this happens, you will see an oversupply of cars in the market, because wealth will shift assets and invest in areas that are at rock bottom prices to ride the wave back up in the future. This will create prices to come down for a period of time making the opportunity even better than today. I do agree, there are limited pockets in today's market to take advantage but only a small population of people with the right networks will get. We haven't seen the panic in the market yet, so I think a better time to invest is still in the future. Just my two cents. I appreciate the content you produce.
