As far as I'm concerned, the Porsche 993 turbo is the greatest combustion engine car ever made. Kinetic art at the highest level.

Love the 1996 993 turbo. Had one many years ago and sold it to my best friend for $68k. Yes, $68k. He later resold the car for the same price and he drove it for a couple of years. These cars have gone through the roof. I did like my 1991 Porsche 911 Turbo much better than the 993 turbo. More punch when you hit the gas with the single turbo.
@jimsteinway69510 күн бұрын
I had a 97 turbo. Bought it for 70, sold it for 72k. Miss that car. I’ve been a 911 guy for 20 years. 3 GT3s. Just sold my 18 gt3 and bought a LP640 2 Huracan. The Porsche market is going to be messy because they have raised their prices and they invested heavily in EVs and China. I think they’re in trouble
@Mrwedominecraft9 күн бұрын
@@jimsteinway695what does have to do with older gen cars such as the 991.1/991.2 if anything raising the prices will increase the demand on older models to match the price difference
@jimsteinway6959 күн бұрын
@@Mrwedominecraft that’s true, but the whole new Porsche world is in trouble because they invested heavily in China now that’s collapsing. I think the older gt3s will go up. But people like me will stay away from Porsche because it’s just messy. I’ll try buying a McLaren before trying anything Porsche. Because their prices are going to go really high. Like I’m hearing $400-$500k for a 993 turbo as PJ says. Why? It’s 400 hp, I can buy a used sorted McLaren for $200k with 650-700 horsepower. I used to stay away from McLaren because of maintenance issues etc. but over the last 4-5 years they’ve improved immensely. So you can buy a nice McLaren that’s still modern vs a much older 911 that’s just not as exciting as these other cars. I’m very disappointed in Porsche because they’re losing what made them great. So you could buy an older 911 because it represents the racing heritage and modern dominance in racing and technology. But that just not true anymore. Their upgrades in like the GT series is mainly aero that you can’t really notice unless you’re driving 9/10s on the track. On the street you can’t tell in performance between a 15 gt3 and a 22 gt3. Yet you have to pay hundreds of thousands more. And don’t even think about the RS series. Half a million for a 992 GT3RS with 500 hp. I’m just done after 7 911s and 25 years of driving 911s including 3 GT3s . 150k for my 18 gt3 vs $290 for a new 22 GT3 and now the 25 is going to be over $300,000 for 500hp. The C8 stingray has 500 hp for 1/5 that or the Z06 has 670 hp for 1/2 that. I think Porsche is lost. They want Ferrari McLaren Lamborghini money for a 911. A 911T is $140,000 for 380 hp. That’s embarrassing
@Mrwedominecraft9 күн бұрын
@ forget racing and all the old heritage we live in a capitalist social media society the status on the road the gt3rs is getting you is on par with a lambo or a Ferrari I take my ultraviolet gt3rs 991.1 to car shows or the on street and people skip over 812s f8s 720s and huracans to come take pics of it and talk to me. I’ve had a red 488 gtb before and it didn’t get half the attention of the RS. If you go ask any kid/teenager and young adults what their dream car is and 90% will say a gt3rs not a McLaren lambo or Ferrari so you best believe in the near future when they start making money they will drive up the price of 911s.

I don’t know about the 993 turbos. $300,000 for a 400 horsepower car is a lot. Porsche is in trouble. I’d stay away from them. They’re VERY analog cars. The frunk is just messy compared to more modern cars. Usually the front viscous coupler is shot. Unless you can find a real low mileage car. I had a 97 and things start going wrong. The turbos leak because the seals are drying out. I’m not saying don’t look but unless you’re a super Porsche nut, I’d observe for awhile. They are very beautiful maybe the prettiest 911 ever. Secondary injection ports can get clogged then it throws a CE light that’s hard to get rid of, then how do you sell. Just observations. I’d probably go more for a 15 GT3. Or 18 gt3. Much faster better cars. Newer more modern cars. The new GT3 is WAY MORE EXPENSIVE so the price should shoot up. You should be able to get a low option 991.2 2018/19 GT3 for less than $200k unless it’s a manual and if you go for one of these they’re SLOWER than the PDK model and harder to drive in traffic. Yet they’re more expensive

I really like your Podcasts, for the Truthful & Expert car analysis. I'm buying a 2025 Ferrari 296 GTB for a Long-Term investment and of course to enjoy. For the following reasons: Ferrari Name is a premium; I think by 2030 ALL normal and exotic cars will be all electric but the Exotic Cars Now will be Premium Collectibles for their scarcity especially in the non ICE age of the 2030's and beyond. The 296 GTB will only go up in value due to its Moderness, Ferrari Name, rareness of only a V6 but over 810HP, Drivability, and overall strong Performance and comfort (even after EV's in the 2030's offer twice the performance) but the performance of the 296 will be strong enough to keep a smile on a driver's face. By 2035 gas stations will be rare as most will lose their big profits and will convert to Housing or small strip malls about 10% will remain until the 2040's. What do you think? Thanks. IMO.

nah, will plummet to 50% off. Those are already 50K MSRP for GTS models. Its dead unless u get the Race variant coming out
@wildsaddle60005 күн бұрын
@@ExoticCarHacks The race variant - that's a definite possibility thanks for mentioning it. I'll keep an eye out for it. Also, I might just wait until next December 2025 and try and scoop up a 2024 296 GTB for ~$300K. It seems car buffs do not like the exotic hybrids. But I like the car and if I take ~$100K loss after driving it for 2 years then fine. But it all comes down to enjoying the ride and what's sitting in the garage. By the way I am considering the Lamborghini LP640. Thanks

I know someone his money wealth around 10 millions USD.. and he is thinking to buy jaguar f type.. he don't even want to buy it new.. he want to buy 2016 or 2019 models ( most important for him it's with silver wheels he don't like black wheels at all).. I asked him why man.. you have alot of money, you can go for ferrari or lamborghini and alot of other options from different brands.. He said: first of all it look like those cars.. the shape of it .. Then he continue: maybe 5% are the richest people in the world.. Maybe 60% are in the middle class ... Maybe 35% are poor.. He continue saying: i don't belong to the 5% and i am not interested to be one of them.. And for those 95% including me , that jaguar f type look like ferrari or lamborghini or whatever.. My point is .. he is not into cars.. but when it comes to running shoes.. it's his hobby.. I just wanted to share that , maybe someone like the idea.
