Wow!!! I have been so lucky to have this amazing front exotic garden and the back garden around the corner from my home. It has indeed been a perfect summer showing for these two gardens. Thanks to master gardener Dragan for sharing his talents with the neighborhood. 🌺

Wow. Just Wow. I really enjoy watching all of your Videos. They give me so much inspiration and ideas on how to expand and create my own Tropical oasis. And the biggest issue I have always had was how to compliment some of my Plants. And this video helps so much with that. Thank you again!

Thank you very much! Many plant species have become difficult to source, especially larger specimens. Fewer nurseries and less and less selection. Happy gardening.

Hi. I’ve been growing a Tropical Style garden in the U.K. for about 13 years. Honestly I love your garden and your dedication to it. So inspiring to what can be done in such a cold climate with a lot of dedication. Really looking forward to seeing the back garden again. Cheers

Honestly, you shall not go anywhere to meet the tropical environment! You are the inspiration also for me in Poland. I like your garden much! One question. How do you care of plumeria? Do you winterize it just like palms?
@GreenDragan Жыл бұрын
Dziękuję bardzo! Thank you very very much! The plumerias are in containers and come inside for the winter. You can overwinter any plant outside but the expense is too great. If you have deep pockets and are young enough, please go ahead and try.

Another great video. Do you usually grow your annuals from seed? I've had a hard time find good sources of tropical plants here in NB. Can you suggest any good sites here in Canada?
@GreenDragan Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Todd! I only grow the plants if they really interest me. I am sure you have favourites as well. Each year I scour the nurseries in Ontario for special plants. The majority are selling similar items including big box stores, that interest the average budget minded consumer. When I discover some new species in my travels or online videos, I buy seeds online or gift shops at botanic gardens. Also get to know local exotic gardeners, local gardening clubs etc. They offer tours and you may pick up ideas, exchange cuttings or seedlings. I hope this helps.

Is it ok to keep a couple brugmansia plants indoors in winter
@GreenDragan Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. If you have the room, place in a bright window and grow as a house plant or store in a cool frost free place till spring.

Have you ever zone pushed a roystonea regia? Would it be possible in zone 8?
@GreenDragan Жыл бұрын
It's a beautiful palm. You could cover a small specimen for a few years, but heir mature size makes them impossible to protect. They are a zone 10-11 palm so not practical.
@LordFN Жыл бұрын
Is it possible to zone push a coconut palm?
@GreenDragan Жыл бұрын
That would be cool! If we are talking zone 9 and higher. Short term yes, if you have deep pockets. It would be extremely expensive and impractical to build a green house to protect it during cold weather. To protect a coconut palm for nine months of the year and heat it keeping high humidity. They grow really tall really fast. I lost 6 outdoors one summer because night time temperature dropped close to 10-12 C or 50-54F too many days in a row and daytime not much above 20C or 68-70F.
