Where I come from if there are any mechanical issues they are fixed or replaced under warranty, apart from the brake rotor the other things are purely cosmetic, which most manufacturers do make changes from model to model. Also the disc rotor is a floating disc not a solid one like you have fitted.

Oye acere the brake rotors are supposed to be like that,they are called floating rotors and are designed that way on purpose for better cooling and so they don't warp. You better hope HD doesn't sue you for misinformation

17,500 miles on my 2020 Fat Boy, rotors are fine. I have the Vance and Hines slip ons… great Harley sound.

They a floating brake rotors so what you think you're talking about is normal

This is not entirely true, because floating brake discs may only be moved sideways, but not in the radial direction, as can be seen here in the video. If this is the case, then either the floaters are inappropriate or worn.

I don't know where you get your info at, for fatboys! I just put 7,000 miles on mine, and my rotars aren't loose!!! Also, I put new SS full pipes on almost a year ago, and they don't need a tune. I live in California, and maybe in Mexico, things are different. Who the hell needs a dummy gas cap?

I think what he's referring to is the rumble. New HD's sound like sewing machines with the stock pipes, thanks EPA. And the rotor issue he had wasn't an issue, he had floating rotors before he went to solid ones. Fat Boys are great bikes man, I hope you find yours fast! Ride safe brother.

Hey! Nice review and absolutely strong points made here. Might have some hints as to the reasons of some changes made in 2023. I only assume what might be the reason for changes, from my very own experience of having ridden more than 30 my own bikes over the time. The breaking discs/rotors are the floating type. They are designed to float and the clang noise is the side effect here - the very same construction have been widely used in sport motorcycles of 90' and 2000' and is still being used as far as I am concerned. The discs of this construction are less prone to deformation and micro cracks as the working surface is semi isoleted from the mounting part. This helps with teperature and force distribution especially when both exist simultanously. I would only check if the play is within the specs. I love the look of full wheels but the design, although beautifull, might affect the steering, especially at high speed and side winds/blows (i.e. passing the lorry at high speed or on the wet/in the rain ) so I guess that's the reason for change.

My 018, FLFBS, WICKED RED ,TWISTED CHERRY,, 14in meathooks, Blow Exhaust, no baffles,, monster suker intake, custom shifter, and rod chrome Coil cover, 250 dunlop, rear tire, power vision tuner, 475 s&s cam kit, with oil pump, took off rear seat,, changed all shit torks bolts with stainless cap bolts, , way better, arp 12 point chrome bolts on the derby cover, hmm, 25 bucks lol, its a head turner, ,😎

How you put a solid rotor on the front, your caliper is not floating , hmm, you still must have a floating rotor,

Best thing Harley did , put a 240 , on the fatboy , floor boards, new frame, handles like a sport bike,, the 114 ci, mayby get a 121, in a few years, lol, they be makin them, for awhile , its a custom, thats modern, and badass,😎 has shit pot of custom parts, 😎 rock on Harley,😎

Nice, sad you have shit wrong, on the rotors,, my,,.018, never had issues witb rotors, think company , that makes em, has a guy doing shit, machineing,, never had,a rotor do that, , well ya, i tuned with power vision, , night and day difference from stock, I put Blow exhaust on, , look it up,, made in Australia ,,
