Just installed my Rigid D-SS Pros. I was sure I could mount them but my only issue was the wiring. I got it done thanks to your video. I cut off the relay & fuse, wired 'em just like you did, and they work perfectly. Say hello to your newest subscriber! 👋
@NorthShoreBronco Жыл бұрын
Awesome thanks! Yea, the Aux switches have their own relay. Much simpler. and now you have a spare relay you can keep in a box for 10 years before you decide to throw it out the day before you actually need it!

@@offroadbandit Well for this video I used my Fuji XT3... but that's mostly a camera for photography. I usually use my Go Pro Hero 9 to document my adventures. I'll throw a link in the description. But yea, for adventure type videos, I recommend a Go Pro, the media mod kit so you can attach a mic and a decent mike. I like the wireless rhode the best.

Cool vid! Subbed! I noticed you said that you used the Bronco-supplied relay and cut off the harness side. Do you know which of the Bronco Aux switches have relays on them? I can't find an answer on line.
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
All switch wires terminate under the hood at the power distribution point. The power leads are relayed and fused already and have specific ratings. So the switches in the cab basically just activate the relay that then sends power to whatever accessory. So that's why you need to look and see what AMPerage each switch is wired for. If you need more amps, you could add another relay that would be activated by the already installed relay...... It gets confusing. But you should be good with what's there.
@signalaheadoriginaltunes41592 жыл бұрын
@@NorthShoreBronco Thanks, so much! I want to throw two 6 inch Hellas on the front bull bar I am gonna fab in. I figured I would use the highest-rated line/switch as I never intend to put a winch or even amp and sub in the truck. I am absolutely loving this thing, by the way! I feel like I am 18 again, ordering stuff and staring at it through the window at home. Puts a smile on my face every time I see it. Thanks, for the info... really!

Great video, subscribed! Quick question: where did you get the yellow D clips? (I think that is the correct term for those?)
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I just took some black rugged ridge shackles (amazon link in description) , and had an automotive store color match the badlands sticker.
@ChesterCopperpot2252 жыл бұрын
Think the 6 inch pair would work? Would they potentially fit better without needing modify the bracket?
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
You'd have more room for the install that's for sure. I just like how the 8 Inch fills the space. Let me know if you try it!
@treyphillips61672 жыл бұрын
Hey, just got my 8inch RC lights to go in the bumper as well, however the lights are to big for the bracket? How did you jerry rig it?
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
I had to make the holes in the brackets longer so that I could make them fit. If you DM me on instagram I can take pictures for you tomorrow.
@brentthibault34672 жыл бұрын
Where did you get the ‘cyber orange’ shackles on the front?
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
I took some black rugged ridge shackles (link in description) then I got an automotive shop to color match the badlands orange and painted them. I'll make a video on it soon. I'll call and ask them what paint code they used.
@MrCanucksluvr2 жыл бұрын
You cut out the entire rely and fuse? Or did you leave something to connect to the factory Aux wiring? I'm at that stage and not sure what to cut out. The Auxiliary wiring information is also available in the vehicle's manual via the infotainment system. Where did you buy the tow hooks? Look great
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yea, I cut out the relay and fuse part and just wired to the Aux Switch wiring. Just keep as much wiring as you need to get there. Tow Hooks I got on amazon, link is in description.... I think... If not I'll add it.

I guess your never gonna remove the end caps for off roading. Kind of the reason Ford didn't include them in that bumper. But nice video on the install.
@NorthShoreBronco3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yea, I like the caps on. And with 35's I don't need the clearance.
@Aurongel2 жыл бұрын
Are you worried at all about not having those front bumper lights recessed inside the bumper itself? If you were to impact a tree or a rock or something at low speed then your fancy new lights would eat that impact before your steel bumper does. Unless I'm looking at it incorrectly?
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
Yea I am a bit. When I have some time I'm boing to play with the brackets a bit more and get them pointed more in the front and try and bring them in a bit. But for now, I like having them for in the woods!
@kouzeh2 жыл бұрын
I love your videos man. Great content and I've subscribed a while back. Question for you, on the amperage math you did, did you choose 12 volts because that's the max voltage on the lights, or 12V because of the battery? So if I have a light bar that 260 watts, do I divide by the max voltage of the light bar (36 volts) or 12 Volts?
@NorthShoreBronco2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I chose 12 v because that's the output of the battery. So you'd be at 21.66 amps with that lightbar. Trying to open a portal to the multiverse? That's going to be some bright!
