I personally like the Lariat's myself. I have a 21' Powerboost with the 502A package. Have everything I want with all the added goodies too. Power running board, panoramic sunroof, 360 cam, bluecruise, and all the other options that Lariats come with. I'm still a lot less than the these trucks, but pretty much the same options. I even have a heated stirring wheel Hahahaha!

Have you owed a3.5 ecoboost or the hybrid powerboost? I’ve had 2 3.5s and my V8 s sound great but even my 8.1L tuned big block cannot match the towing power and torque of the Gen2 ecoboost. If you haven’t owned one your opinion really is just a feeling and feelings are just that. The V8 in the f150 is lacking until it’s in the mid to upper rpm range,it feels very soft by comparison because it is. Trucks need torque and that’s where the ecoboost excels ,low end power and towing experience is diesel like.

​@John DiMartino I had a 3.5 ecoboost. It towed like a freight train, sometimes over loaded. But I had so many stupid issues and failures on the engine between 60-100k miles that it was sold at 100k miles. Now I've got a ram 1500 with the 5.7 and I'm totally happy with it, but as for towing I have a diesel f350 so the ram won't be towing like the f150 did

​@@JohnDiMartino solid points 👍 but you know Ford specifically tunes the V8 to not have low end torque, right? So they can use that as the selling point for the EcoBoost as you just did. But yeah I'd probably take the 3.5 over the 5.0

I just bought the 2023 platinum. I would have bought the Limited, because I really like the quilted interior. I think the admiral blue is dated and I believe after a year or so one would get tired of that blue color. If they did it in a black with charcoal quilted, I would have bought it.

Nice video as always, Ben. I am torn between the Platinum and the Tremor model. Love the V8 sound so probably will go that route. Probably will sit on it for 3 months or so and then go order the config I want. What is really crazy is that a Lariat High priced out the same as the Platinum High model when I built it and the Tremor High was about 5k less, mainly attributed to engine selection as you can’t get the Hybrid on the Tremor which is a bummer.

Just picked up the 2022 Platinum in pretty much same spec. Ford deleted massage seats and park assist. Amazing truck though.

Difference in shocks is; the Limited has Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) as well as On-board Scales as standard equipment. I have it on my 2022 F-150 Limited 😍

That might be something you want to avoid if you want to upgrade the truck with some Fox Ford Tuned shocks, or some other lift/suspension upgrade.

i got the platinum and got 10k due to it being a demo and i love it this is my second one which i had a 2013 in pearl white and wish this one came in white but its a 23 so i cant complain

I actually much prefer the platinum and the way the interior looks. The differences are VERY mineral barring a few leather bits you hardly touch anyway. If you could get a black interior on the Limited I'd of gone with that but I love my Platinum Powerboost. I have the pro power onboard and massage seats too.

Limited is definitely their nicest looking truck. I have a 2018 xlt, and no front end has looked as good as mine until this yr. Limited is the best looking truck on the road, along with a denali.

the difference in shocks is one has the onboard scale and the other doesn't i have a 16 King ranch and it has 90% of these features including the messaging seats. i wish it had the tailgate lift assist that would be nice

Had a 21 Platinum/Carmelo loved it. I know have 22 Limited Powerboost and would never go back. Love the blue interior. So much brighter inside and the suede headliner/visors are awesome. CCD works awesome and is a superior ride.

Fords marketing genius, they sell the same truck in various colors with a different name and charge more for each trim. Buy a fully loaded lariat and its 5k to 20k diffrence from that to a limited.

The big difference between them is you can get a black sport package with the platinum, but not the limited. If it wasn't for the horrible chrome all over on the limited I might have considered it over a platinum.

I got the limited . If u got the money to burn do it thats really the only diffrence. If i didnt wanna pay more platinum is a very nice truck. I just wanted the limited because well its limited 😂 i like neighbors to know their platinum cost less then my limited . And to make sure they cant 1 up me i lifted it 6" and put 35s because i hate the small tires they come with but the 22s it cane with also sold me . Its the small things that made me want it but to be truthful its just a waste of money to be honest😂

All of them are way overpriced especially the 2023. Ford posted a huge loss and the price of these trucks has to be big part of it besides the EV garbage. It's Fords best seller and most people are priced out of the market. High gas prices, inflation, and interest rate hikes not good. I've noticed over the past several months our local Ford dealer's lot is overflowing with vehicles that just 8 months ago was barren. Let's see if Ford can overcome this.

People have called these trims overpriced since the platinum and limited made their appearance with the Harley Davison and Lincoln Mark LT. those were 50k+ trucks 13 years ago. That’s 70k+ today. The first platinum didn’t even have touch display or even a display for infotainment. They have come a long way in terms of actual features for about 10k more than they were 13 years ago.
