This looks like a really nice, clean van. I'm starting to think about a 'day van' for my outdoorsy family of 5. Something to transport us, the dog, plus skis or bikes so we can head off for the weekend, stay in hotels/motels with our gear nicely locked away, and with a few amenities for preparing breakfast or lunch. Ideally I'd pair it with a travel trailer at some point in the future....

I like the water heating "Solution " use what's already available. I guess you could do like in semi truck sleeper and use the hot water lines to heat the cargo area.

Interesting that you mentioned no trimming is needed with the 245 75 16 falcon. I watched a video yesterday that clearly showed the person had to cut away metal in the front as it was rubbing. I have to compare tire brands. That must be the difference. The largest tire I'm told would fit is the 245 70 16.

Finally, somebody understands "Keep it simple" (Stupid), daughter bought a Thor Tallero 20J, over complicated electrical system, plumbing tank that leaks inside a closed compartment and runs underneath the flooring. Inverter switch that is imposable to get, a gray water hose compartment with an 86 cent lock that falls open 10 miles out from the dealer. I guess it would be fun to drive that back to the east coast!

We use solar panels by Arlska. They are narrow enough to fit in that space. Most of the other panels by Renogy, etc are too wide.

Pretty fantastic. How does that 'under bumper plug-in 15v housing' handle rear-bumper knocks? What a tree stump leaps out in back of me, or some other vehicle, and that rear corner takes a hit, how does that plug-in solution work then? When you laying 'in' that mattress area and want to sit up to read, how does your skull handle the sharp edges at the top of that sunked-headroom area? (You've got some beveled-edge cabinet edges, and I'm wondering if beveled edges about the reading-lights wouldn't be less skull-splitting?) I'm wondering how many head-bangs it'd take before I invented new cussworks. Or is this why God invented foam bars?

Really like this one. I am on a list in Denver for Transit Trail from Ford. Looking to do a conversion similar to this, except higher bed, so that I can put 29er Mtn bikes in back with bed down...or perhaps a system that folds against walls. I am waiting for my 2023 Transit Trail High Roof extended the build week was originally this week but is now in late August -that is if Ford does not push it out again. Hi. We don't build on passenger vans. Airbags, AC ducting, plastic wall panels. Too much to deal with. Cargo van is the best platform to start with.

No built in stove. But you can use an induction cook top or what I like to use is a butane camp stove. I like to cook outside as much as possible.

I sure wish Toyota had an equivalent. We have a Ford Transit high roof AWD on order for two years and still don't have a VIN. That's what I like about Toyota. If I tell a Toyota dealer what I want, they always come through. Don't know how you got your Transit. I think Ford Marketing and Customer Service has my wife on their roll their eyes list. Yes, they are different phone numbers.

Haha. It’s not you. Our website needs some updating. We do business both ways. 75% of the time we build on client owned vans. The rest of the time we source the van and the do the build and sell the whole package. Vans are hard to find so when we get a hold of one we either purchase to sell or put a client in touch with the dealership to purchase.
