Nice truck. The only thing that I would change is that active cruise control. Had this feature in a car once and I would put the car on cruise and then get about three football field lengths behind a slower moving car and the feature would immediately start slowing me down. What this meant is that I would have to move over to the next lane three hundred yards before reaching the car in front of me if I wanted to pass this car without slowing down. Also if the car in front was nearing a curve on the road my car not having reached that curve three hundred yards away would read that car in front and slow me down as well.

I have all the bells and whistles on my Ford Edge and love them! The adaptive cruise can all be adjusted for following distance. I also drive transport and my company has started ordering trucks with the adaptive cruise as well (Volvo and freight liner) and I’ve come to love them. I was hesitant at first hauling 80,000lbs + but I have to admit, they work great for me

The DOT here in the States has a bunch of rules about the types of modifications one can make to ones headlights. Depending on if it will be driven on U.S roadways or if it's purely a "show vehicle." LED headlights must be enclosed in a projector type housing with a beam pattern cut-off so that other motorists aren't blinded. It took us forever to get approval to have Matrix Beam headlights that physically block off the pixels of light that would blind oncoming vehicles. If the vehicle came with reflector type headlamps and regular bulbs for the main beams........ They need to only be replaced using those same bulbs. Bulb and LED companies will sell you LEDs that'll fit in anything. But you'll be the one who gets the ticket if a cop or person at vehicle registration notices that they aren't the correct fitment. It's lame I know.

Man i freakin LOVE this. Love what you did. We have a Class A Diesel Pusher but im considering a 5th wheel and my issue has always been "what can i tow it with that i would enjoy. So a few questions. 1. Can you delete all or part of the interior dome overhead and install a decent size sunroof? (maybe move the dome to the back seat only and put the sunroof over the front seats. 2. The benefit of the Class A is that I can drive and not stop while someone else gets food. Can we look at putting some small fridge in there, under back seat or in the back coffin storage with access from back seat? Is there anything that you build 5th wheel that this CANNOT tow? ( is there a model that is too big for this unit)? again LOVE it !! can't wait to see the lighting video.

Will a GMC 3500 dully customized with heavy duty suspension and a Curt 30k fifth wheel hitch tow a LH-48FB loaded?

You can customize the suspension all you want but at the end of the day it is highly likely that you will be over the gross vehicle weight rating of the truck with that trailer. Let me give you an example. A crew cab dually Denali has a payload of about 5300 pounds. In my situation if you add me, the wife and our three dogs you are at 600 pounds of dogs and people. That brings your payload down to 4700 pounds. at this point you haven’t even added the weight of the hitch or anything else in the front of the trailer. So, in my not officially an expert, expert opinion the answer would be no. Does that have the power to pull it, sure it does but you or at least I would be way over weight. I think Cory does a great job of pointing out the limitations of 3500/350 trucks here on this channel 😁

I'm baffled how a RAM 3500 has a 37k tow rating, with 10k in the bed - pin weight - (especially 5500 models), whereas these 'Big Rigs' aren't even rated to do that.

This specific truck has a 26,000 LBs GVWR the highest the RAM 5500 comes with is 19,500 Lbs GVWR. The Freightliner completed weighs in on the scale around 15,000 Lbs. The RAM 5500 weighs around 10,500 LBs This gives the Freightliner roughly 11,000 LBs of Payload and the RAM is roughly 8,500 LBs. The GCWR rating for the Freightliner has an expected GCWR of 80,000 Lbs. it is only limited by the 32,000 LB Trailer Saver Hitch that we install. This means that the Freightliner in our configuration can tow up to a 32,000 LB 5th Wheel trailer. The RAM has up to 43,000 LBS GCWR. To figure it's maximum 5th Wheel towing capacity we need to to subtract the weight of the truck. Empty complete the RAM is again 10,500 LBS subtract this from the 43,000 GCWR Lbs. you end up with 32,500 Lbs. This matches up nicely with the 32,000 Lb Trailer Saver hitch that we install on the RAM Turn-key LUXE Haulers as well. You have to figure you will have people and items on the truck and fuel. This is going to increase the overall GVW of the truck and be a LARGER number you're subtracting from the fixed 43,000 Lbs GCWR. To say the Freightliner M2-106 has less capability than the RAM 3500 or even 5500 I wouldn't understand the logic in this. When you say the RAM 3500 has a 37k tow rating this would have to be the GCWR which is the truck weight and the trailer weight combined. The GCWR for the Freightliner is 32,000 LBs that the hitch is capable of since it limits the truck down from it's expected 80,000 + the 26,000Lb GVWR which = out to roughly a 58,000 LB GCWR.

Nice truck but that cruise control thing that you put on there shouldn't be on there that will actually slam on your brakes if someone cuts in front of you they should have never brought that out it is not a good safety feature by the way that can get somebody hurt I drove a tractor trailer with that on stupidest thing I ever seen other than that nice looking truck for a toy hauler

The adaptive cruise would make me never ever buy it. Not that I can. Drove one semi with that garbage and hood luck. It will make you hate your life because people always get in front of you and that sensor will be going off constantly.
