When finesse and technique don’t work, it’s time to switch to pure and flat out savage power! The ‪@zackliftinternational4841‬ got put to the test today, and after trying a few different things, Tyler decided that brute strength was the only answer and it was time to start ripping steel apart!
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! When I was a young guy I worked for a place that built and repaired logging trailers. We had them come in rusted, bent, twisted and broken. We just cut them open, separated the pieces, cleaned and straightened them then welded them back up. My friends never understood why I'd pass loaded logging trucks at full throttle and wouldn't even sit next to one at a stop light. Because I knew the kind of condition most of them were in, they lived a hard life with damn little care and maintenance.

Yes and some of their drivers... 🙄 I ended up chasing one down in my patrol car that buzzed me on traffic stop 30 over the speed limit. Almost hit me, the patrol car and the vehicle i had stopped already. The driver tried to elude me getting him stopped, I let the one I had stopped go on verbal warning. The driver had all licenses revoked indefinitely for life for multiple at fault crashes, many convictions and active warrants. Log hauler in S.E. GA. A buddy of mine had a trucking company that did containers from port always said stay away from them too.

As a former auto mechanic from the Rust Belt, I can tell you that rust is pretty strong stuff. It's funny how rust can practically weld metal together, but let it rust a little more, and the whole thing falls apart. The hook slicing the inner tube was pure genius. It obviously took a bunch of really heavy-duty vehicles to get it apart. Highly impressive, Casey!

Very interesting video. I hope your hand is okay. I had a similar experience with a measly 3 pound hammer handle, a stabilizer bar on the back of my 2N Ford and my left index finger. I left the glove on and when I was sure I wasn't going to pass out drove to the hospital so my wife could x-ray the finger and the ER dock could sew it up. I've nicknamed that finger stumpy because it's considerably shorter than it used to be. I can still type with it so I'm happy. I'm partially ambidextrous but should have known better than to swing a heavy hammer left handed. I have a rule now that since I can't wipe my own butt with the stupid hand don't do dangerous things with it. I would have never thought to drag that hook through that tube and was certain that something would break while it was still inside making the problem even worse. I love watching your videos to see how you come up with solutions for situations. Even "failures" are educational. When I was a kid I found an old coffee can in my dad's collection of "I might need that someday" junk. There were tiny pulleys in there that fascinated me. I found some cord and started playing with them and learned how added pulleys equaled out to increased leverage. We had a two foot section of railroad track and I was using pulleys to drag it and lift it with only my finger tips. I love seeing the rigging in place and your explanations of how the leverage should work. I'm still fascinated with torque and force science but never took any physics classes to delve deeper into. I wasted my time tying to learn about computer design and working in manufacturing to put food on the table. If your trucks happen to have a Cummins X15 it was probably shipped off the dock I used to run where those engines are assembled. We shipped some smaller stuff but not the engines for Dodge trucks. I'm too old and worn out to get into a line of work like that so I'm really enjoying your videos and still learning new things. Have you ever studied the life and work of Archimedes? As one nerd to another I expect you would love the man's genius ideas.

I REALLY miss that truck and job! I had to quit towing because I was hit by a drunk driver when I was out late at night doing an impound for our local pd.... FOR DRUNK DRIVING!! 2 ways to look at that ... 1 yes it lubes it , if stuck just a little , it should help, if stuck a lot maybe helps. 2 as you pull it out the rust turns to dust and stops acting like a lube and starts to act as a wedge and jams it even harder. with a liquid added it happens faster . but the hole cut and chain hook , folds the top surface down and reduces the force needed to pull it , by allowing the sides to flex inwards . great in the field /blue sky thinking , one for the memory bank , might never use it , but it's there.

That is just put it off juice. It rarely if ever does anything to something that is truly frozen with rust. There are actual products made to penatrate rust, and even those don't work very often.

Man oh man that's on stuck trailer tube. We had that happen with a 40' disc. To free ours we used two dozers winches and one of them vibrating plate tampers along with heat and oil. Took 4 hours of tension, heat and vibrating before it broke free.

I've farmed and worked iron since I could follow my dad around, and I would have never thought to split that tube with a chain. If you read the paper, have a roof over your head, or wiped your ass today, thank a logger, they made it possible.

I hope Alan at Yankum Ropes see this as that some some power of test on his ropes. As other also said quoted "why am I even pulling a dozer" seem to amaze me. Hope Zack Lifts seen you stall the wrenches out as well.

Pour a little bit of diesel in the top where you see the rust come from would have helped a ton I'll bet.

When dealing with rust situations like this and you have 3-4 days to deal with it, get a few gallons of cleaning vinegar (not food grade vinegar) and soak it. Get enough vinegar to soak it real good pour it in where the water entered and cover it with a tarp so it won't evaporate quickly. The vinegar will eat the rust up but won't bother the good metal. Once you have it freed up, wash the vinegar off with baking soda and water to neutralize the acid. The steel will look like it just came from the steel mill wherever the vinegar soaked the rust. .
