So what I learned from this video is that if you don't have very specific champions, then there's no way to cover all these rolls you need. I am a very low spender and admittedly more of a casual raid player. I would still like to be able to put together a team so I can get mithralla. Guess in two more years of playing .. I might have some of these champions ...

Funny, that's what I learned, too. This is one of the things that drives me crazy about Raid content creators. They give some decent guidelines, then reach into their box of every OP champion they have and Badabing no more hydra problem. I would have liked an early example with junk champions that all of us F2P peeps get.

Deliana can be a very good option for block buffs and leech. If you can manage to get her in cursed gear with good stats, no need to bring a hex champ.

Thanks for the video. Unfortunatly it "only" told things I heard many timers before (if others haven't watched as many Hydra vids as I have this is a very good roundup of all the roles you need for that fight). And even if I watched more than a dozen vids on this topic from different CC's I'm still not able to build a Hydra team which brings down Normal reliably! What I am missing is: What kind of stats do you need to bring to the different difficulties? How much speed, HP and maybe def do you need AT LEAST to each difficulty so that your team can do it's job and doesn't die?!? Acc and Res values I can get from the HH stage tool, but those other numbers.... I even rebuild a team Nub had a video on (and only replaced the Mischief tank) with which he 1 keyed brutal Hydra (if I remember correctly) and my team didn't survived Normal! So I guess it must be because of the survivability.... Or maybe I'm just too dumb for this boss.....

Tuhanarak is a mvp for hydra. I spread the hp burn from Sicia and Crypt King Graal if they don't land them on every head. I just pulled Khoronar this past weekend. Gonna be building him during CvC for Hydra. I put him in a provoke set for even more control.

What if you use gurptuk moss beard with marichka so marichka can cleanse those poisons and increase everyone's resistance every time so you don't need to wait for debuffs to increase everyone's resistance

I use Warchief as my provoker. 3 turn provoke duration on a 3 turn cooldown with a passive reflect and a buff strip on the A2 just in case I need to strip something off of decay.

Hydra needs a mechanic or visual indicator which shows which head is going next. The amount of times you have to guess or assume X head will go before X head because they all have a 100% TM visual isnt fun. Can cause so many problems.

I wonder why Geomancer was not mentioned. One of the best dmg dealer on on hydra, and has some utility too (buff strip from one target, aoe decrease accuracy) So ideal budget hydra team for me looks like these 4 epics: Geo, Husk, Royal guard, Uugo plus two supports on current rotation I use Ukko and Visix. So this setup brought me 67mill dmg on 4th hydra this week. On other rotation supports can be Siphi plus Shamrock. And yes if you have relentless gear put your dmg dealers in it. It will help a LOT.

i dont think my issue is picking teams/making teams.. i think my issue is that i struggle with really knowing the hydra heads. which heads to prioritize attacking, or which one to provoke.. which one to avoid.. etc. stuff like that. (and missing the top tier champs for hydra) so thankyou for this, this video helps a ton.

With the change to destroying max hp with every heal, doom priest & aniri can be counterproductive as well as regen, immortal gear. Scratch? Do you speed tune your team's? I kind of do, nit like clan boss but 6 champions after a while with the mischief head makes it kinda hard

Nekmo Thar was a guaranteed champion 1 year ago for 150 Blue shards, I picked him up while many said he was ok but nothing crazy, ... and now I see HH saying it's one of his most wanted non Void leggo with Hurndig xD

I prefered guaranteed champions because I don't have the luxury to roll the dice that much on my shards if I want to progress. The 150 blue shard probably was Ragash then.

I don't have a single block debuffs champ built on my account since i couldn't get Brogni. I tried really hard but the arena event was impossible in the lower teirs. The poisons wreck my team especially since Arbiter always out runs all the buffs and becomes a target. I think I pulled a MM or else i might build a Seducer.

They are not many epics that can replace the important support roles, I missed prob a couple epics but look at their kits rather than names. This was a recipe to help you build a team, I didn't served the cake ready cooked. But I'll be honest Hydra it's endgame if you are mid game just do whatever you can on Normal difficulty to get Mithrala and work on your teams once you develop your account.
