Love me some two stroke videos. MXA your articles and website helped me survive the boredom of a year long deployment in the South China Sea in the navy 😂 for some reason your website would always load for me. I must have read every article and bike test from the last 10 years 😂

This bike hits hard, put a JD jet kit in mine (needle makes the biggest difference, along with updated jet block gasket) can’t see how anyone would ever need more power unless wide open desert riding.

@@andrewpereira1117 I just went to JD jetting website and ordered the kit for the 2021 Ktm 250sx. They didn’t list a kit for the gasgas last summer. My jet oem block gasket failed after less than 5 hours.

Gas Gas seems to get the new stuff after the bugs get worked out. Nice bikes.

Love the red frame on the GG too. They should keep the carb--at least for a few more years. I thought the whole point of GG was to give customers options. Carbs are cheaper and much easier to tune. Maybe I'll have to get one before they change to fuel injection.
@Sleepy.Time. Жыл бұрын
carbs are only easier to tune for people with experience using them, for the average modern day rider they are very unlikely to have a clue how to tune a bike using a carb let alone have a selection of jets and needles on hand

I couldn't find a good bike after covid so I got a low hour tpi and stock it was ordinary but after a ECU flash it's so dam good I'd find it hard to go back to carb and I'm a big fan of keeping it simple.

The last of the old type 2 stroke instead of the nanny state new models Ktm's, I mean a rev limit on a 2 stroke, give me a break!

Nice! KTM and HUSKY will have better mapping next year guaranteed they basically created a whole new bike the future of TBI and fuel injection is brite for 2 strokes we can only dream at this point that they make a 450 2 stroke they will be whole shot masters.

I’m a bit surprised you weren’t racing the totally new KTM or Husky 250. Do you feel the previous generation platform of the GasGas is superior to the first iteration of the TBI bikes? And if so, in what area(s)?

Yup, the needle is a cheap and easy way to shape the PB to your liking. The smoother/linear may feel slower, but it is only perception and you will save energy, BTW. Personally, i'd be installing my spare Keihin 38mm AS with an old quad tapper Suzuki or JD needle. I might even install the STIC metering block carb insert. 20 minute install and it's like porting with a 25+ CC big-bore kit. May need a throttle tamer, retard the timing, -2 teeth at rear or a 110/90 and an 11oz FWW. It will have more over-rev and be a short shift beast at the same time. Ask me how my STIC'd 200SX runs with these changes.

uh? do you mean "forged " or "cast" are the CNC clamps made from forged aluminium stock or cast? CNC'd doesn't determine the density which would dictate the flex from the piece . a forged part would be the strongest CnC machining would be the most precise shape (hopefully) it could be either cast or forged

Could anyone tell me how much horsepower this bike puts out? I've been looking all over the place for that spec and cannot find it for the life of me..

It should be identical to the horsepower of the 2022 KTM SX 250, which has a listed HP of 49.23.

Obviously these new name/manufacturing companies are good considering the reviews of the bikes. I guess it's weird talking about something called GasGas. Not your standard Zuki, Yami, Kawi etc. My question is we know the Honda CR250 was the rawest 2 stroke ever. And the others have stood for so many years. I can't help but look at this bike as a "cheap knock off" lol. It's a shame what things have come to but I truly would like to have a GasGas MC250. It reminds me of the old school CR250's and the like. Thanks for the video on it. EDIT: He pretty much answered everything. Wow what a shame where things are headed.
