I just picked up my new G 90 and the CarPlay is now wireless. No need to plug it in .Genesis hired away many engineers and designers from Bently which explains many of the Bently like feel and festures. I paid $108k for the car and I feel like I got a Bently for 1/3 the price. I checked out the S class and it was $50k more and boring compared to the g90. I have been getting many looks and compliments. People think it is a Bently . Plus 3 years free maintenance and the dealer picks the car up and returns it to you to services. It’s a nice touch . You are on air shocks which helps give that smooth luxury ride.when you exit the car it tells you if you’ve left your phone in the car or left anything in the back seat it surprises me daily with some new feature .

​@@Hottest-in-da-HoodI have a very similar "fucking Hyundai," except a 2012. Naturally aspirated V8 with almost 250,000 miles on it and it hasn't given my any issues. Maybe I'll need a new engine or transmission at some point soon, who knows. I'd call it a bargain and I don't care that it's not German. I'd really love to see an S Class or M perform as well when it comes to cost of ownership. Just like the German or British cars, wait a few years and they won't be 100k, but I'd feel way better about buying the Hyundai used.

Hyundai, in general, is becoming the best value manufacturer in the industry. Yes, the looks of these vehicles can be hit or miss, but overall, Hyundai Motor Group cars are top-notch for the money... well, without all the recalls, anyway.

If the reliability is solid for three years, that's all I need. If you need only to buy one car in your lifetime, then that's great. I believe that isn't realistic in this day and age. Manufacturers, from Hyundai to even Toyota, want you to return. They want repeat customers, and they want them as soon as they can get them, so there is little incentive for mainstream cars that will last long anyway. And that's across a variety of industries. Apple got caught doing that.

Stoped in at a nearby Genesis dealer last month and sat inside the new G90. I was blown away at how nice the interior was. Almost to top-tier German quality with more nice tech/luxury features for $20-$40K less than a 7 series or S-Class.

@@herrporschex Don't lie, compare last year's Hyundai Kia and Toyota sales with yields. Hyundagia shows almost double the profit margin. Genesis is almost the best except for Mercedes. It is incomparable to Lexus. Rich people don't buy Toyota and Lexerg, but they do buy Genesis. Toyota and Japanese cars are in the dark because they don't have electric vehicle technology. Only a white fool trapped in the word durability is enthusiastic about Japanese cheap cars. You'll never know what a luxury car is.

My car has wireless car play but I still use wired because that is the only way to get lossless audio / atmos. You can't get it over bluetooth not enough bandwidth..

Beautiful. But they should connect the shapes from the front fenders to the back fenders with shaping the sheet metal across the doors. Looks a little strange the way the tail lights stop so sharply at a 45 degree angle on the rear fenders. Looking at it head on or directly from the back the car is very beautiful. The interior is sweet!

Test drove a 2022 and the 2023. While the 2023 has a nicer interior, that V8 in the 2022 was unbeatable. Genesis should have kept that engine or updated it with another v8. Lexus LS sales are struggling and i suspect it's bcos it lacks a V8 powered engine. Genesis is already struggling with G90 sales. Removing the V8 was a step in the wrong direction.

Thanks for the video. Imo the problem with this car is that those who can afford it won't but it. And those who like it, can't afford it. I'm trying to say it doesn't have a target audience. No matter what I couldn't justify 100k for a genesis. Rather spend an extra 30k and get a real respected brand. I honeslty agree the car is very nice. But it's like phones. People will spend more to get the latest iPhone, no matter how much more a cheaper android phone offers. Especially the ones that are still relatively expensive. Appriciate the time you've put to show us everything!

As far as 2023 vehicles go, I think this is the best looking sedan in the world right now no matter what the price. It's beautiful and statement making without being garish or overly ostentatious. I'd definitely consider one. There's something to be said about a vehicle when there's zero brand snobbery attached to it. That's what I don't like about BMW and Mercedes: They've both caved to markets that care more about what the brand says about them so the logos have become the size of dinner plates and the defining features are over-styled. They're rolling technology timebombs that have convinced people light shows and cheap haptic touch screen everything are "high end." Genesis on the other hand seems to be remembering what luxury was meant to be. They're bowing to tech but they're not letting the tech define the experience.

I give Genesis credit, this car looks great. But I could never justify six figures for essentially a really nice Hyundai. It still doesn't have that brand prestige, it still feels kind of "old" and it will probably sell for $40k used a couple years from now. This shouldn't have exceeded $70k fully loaded considering all the competition.

I never thought I would live to see the Day they made a Hyundai that was close to 50 grand let alone almost 100k. I do own a 2008 Azera, the first dip into the luxury car world for Hyundai. They can build a nice car. They sometimes choose to use garbage parts, or they did in the 2011-2021 era with GDI, cheap con rod bearings, and a plethora of recalls. They went from the 10year 100K mile champions to I can't believe you are building junk again...I hope these new Genesis cars are better than the previous models that like to eat their timing chains and cam phasers.

The reason wireless CarPlay hasn’t appeared in this car yet is because the vast majority of the target demographic that can usually comfortably afford it (age 50 and up) often aren’t tech savvy enough or simply don’t want to go through the few extra steps to set it up. They’d rather do what they’re used to - plug it in and go. I’m sure Genesis will integrate it soon though.

The exterior design is a copy as usual and I don't like it. It's a fusion of Bentley and Audi, but was irks me the most is where the chrome on the windows going round ends at the c pillar. That just looks like an afterthought and not nice at all. That's just the problem with Korean brands and it's worse with the Chinese. They copy designs from other brands quite too much

You are right. It’s better . I have owned 4 mercedes and a bmw and none of their interiors are as good as the g90. Hyundai did not plan for an S class competitor. They aimed higher going aftercare Bently. You should sit in one it will blow your mind!

You are exactly correct. They aimed higher . But there are still brand snobs that would ll never “ get it”. It was incredible difficult for me to find my G90. Dealers sell them before they arrive to the US. Mercedes should be very worried . Lexus has no clue .
