I don't understand why Mercedes hasn't upgraded this engine yet, even in the new facelifted 2024 model, it still makes a measly 255hp. It's time for the 300hp version of this engine.

I agree with you. Driving it feels underpowered. The next GLE model up the chain is the GLE 450 SUV and it’s got 362 hp. A difference of over 100hp. I’d recommend going for the GLE 450 SUV.
