Thanks for your very comprehensive review, you cleared up some questions I had about this model before deciding to buy it or not.

Harley creates a riding experience. Honda builds a better motorcycle. I love flying along in/on a Formula One/Porsche Carrera like the Wing. Like ice cream it’s great to have choices. Today’s motorcycles, whichever you choose are better than ever. Any day on two wheels is a great day.
@MotoMengy Жыл бұрын
That's a good way of putting it: Honda builds great motorcycles BUT Harley's create experiences. I've got tons of great stories about my HD's breaking down alongside the road!!!! 😛 (I jest, but I really do have lots of great breakdown stories....)

This is the best bike for anyone to buy. I bought 2022 reef blue with chrome back 4 months and put 7000km on it. I remember one day i ride it for 16hr straight yea with some lunch and tea breaks off-course. This thing is really nimble and easy to handle. But now a days i feel sleepy while riding it not sure i need to take a break from riding or need to upgrade to beggars. Nice video though 💪🏻🏍️

Great review even better from your point of view after owning the old frame style. Hope you got to ride that Road King it was parked next to. I did a back to back with those 2… and it is night and day when you jump on the King!!! It is very obvious you would have way less fatigue riding that all day vs the Heritage!!!

@@MotoMengy I think I humbly speak for all of us… would you please do a back to back comparison of the new Heritage Classic and Road King!!! Would love to get your opinions and impressions of the 2 lightest Cruiser/Touring bikes!! I hadn’t even considered the RK because of its extra weight and having to purchase a windshield and extra lights that are already included on the Heritage…but it hides that extra 80lbs very very well and seems just as agile if not better ( smoother more confident in corner’s) also I’m 6’5” 270 so maybe it hides my weight better 😂😂😂

Is the bike comfortable enough for a 250 to 300 mile rides, or cross country trips?
@MotoMengy2 ай бұрын
It was for me, I rode across the US twice on my Heritage, and up and down the coast many times. In some ways it was more comfy than either of my Road Glides!

You love your Formula 1/Porsche Carrera flat 6 Wing? as has been mentioned elsewhere???? Hmm, Carrera as in 911???? I prefer the Cayman, with the flat 6, not the turbo 4 😊 Last September I purchased a 2022 Heritage. Loved the bike since test riding one October 2017. Only thing keeping me back from purchase then was spoked wheels. 2022 model year Heritage offered cast wheels which means tubeless tires. That’s more my style so purchased mine with cast wheels. I will say I love this new generation Honda Goldwing, especially now that Honda finally opened up the trunk and gave it more space. I do love the trunk space on my Heritage after installing a King Tour Pack.
@MotoMengy Жыл бұрын
Yeah I wish my Wing had the new larger trunk on it. Buying a first year anything always has risks unfortunately. 😔

25k for a new heritage is absolutely insane to me. All the used bikes at dealers are priced as insane as the new ones too. That’s why I buy private and used. They wanted 14k for a 2016 heritage with 55k miles on it 😂. I bought a used 2016 heritage with only 9k miles on it privately for 11,500 👍
@MotoMengy5 ай бұрын
Totally agree. My 2005 Heritage cost me $13,000 in 2005, that would be a bit under $20K today. HD's got pricey.
@JohnnyRebKy5 ай бұрын
@@MotoMengy lots of people hate on Harley’s because of that too ( the pricing). But it isn’t the machines fault. The machine didn’t ask to be priced insane and all that stuff. I think people make a big mistake despising the motorcycle itself bec of the company and dealers. I despise them too…that’s why I buy used and privately. Love the bikes! It’s not the bikes fault

@rodneybarcus2233 Жыл бұрын
I watch your channel and have seen your bike. That goldwing cost a ton like the harley's but you save money long term and it will out last a harley if taken care of. Its also true honda has better reliability. I've owned lots of harley's and metric bikes even a 2009 goldwing tour. Everyone has a favorite and mine is my 2007 yamaha FJR 1300a. The yamaha seems to be a good value for what it is. I would say every brand of bike has gone up in price but there are deals out there.
@roadglide Жыл бұрын
@@rodneybarcus2233 The FJR is one of my all time favorites. I wished Yamaha would have continued developing that amazing platform. It’s truly a precision surgical scalpel, an apex predator and king of the Canyons touring machine. Well know around Iron Butt circuit as a favorite. To Roberts assessment. Forgive my rant. For far to many years Harley’s have gotten away with offering impeccable paint and curb appeal, and relied maybe taken advantage of it’s committed culture to accept it’s minimal offerings at market high price points. Still an air cooled hot running power plant in a day in age when liquid cooling clearly out performs. Harley still relying on it’s telephone book size accessories catalogue to create your own, having to purchase at extra expense important safety LED lighting and if desired increased Staged power kits costing in the neighborhoods of $8-$10k to get it to anywhere near a Japanese engineered product like a Gold Wing or an Indian. We haven’t even touched Suspension,Electric Windscreen or silky smooth Shaft drive in the case of a Wing or BMW GTL as an outlier. For those who love even more slickness there’s the Wing’s fame changing Formula One style DCT. At $30K+ some things don’t make sense. Harley Davidson does get kudos because they figured out reducing supply keeps prices lofty and folks are willing to buy them. However the used Harley market is also telling that many people come to their senses and see the options. Indian has really addressed much of Harley’s short-comings and why competition does wonders to a flatlining industry. Consumers win big. Whatever we choose, any day on two wheels is a great day. Ride safe Robert. ATGATT. Peace

Honda MSRP is high on the Wing but I got mine for much less than MSRP, and I've heard others do the same. That doesn't happen with Harleys anymore, in fact it never really did.
