The conclusion is just perfect. Most buyers walking into the dealership for this bike where born during the peak Karizma days , most of them being infants at that time won't connect to the name as we pre-2000 borns do. Also, most of these just-turned-adults and their parents can only have a 200cc as their first bike. So I think re-launching the karizma first in the 200cc category is the ideal move. As always , suoerb review !

Rohit is always spot on with his articulation of the machine and the absolute feelings surrounding the machine under review..Brilliant review and for someone like me who owned a Karizma as recent till 2021, the emotions and the rationale conveyed are spot on..i would have loved to see this bike upward from 225 cc displacement option rather than sub of it..❤🎉

The OG Zma was something else. The sensation is more heightened when you consider that it was 20 years ago, it had no competition (when launched, not until p220 came along) and we didn't know performance from small capacity bikes as we know now. It was sort of a revelation then. The case may not be the same for Moto Journos but for some of us in college, the people who rode (or rather could afford one) were like gods. While most would ride around on 2t bikes RXs, Samurai, KB100s, rest would have CD100s, Splendors. A CBZ /pulsar 150/180 would be a very rare sighting, so naturally someone riding in a Sportsbike ( a sports tourer as we know now) was sort of a revelation. Ofcourse this may sound over exaggerated to most, but I grew up in small cities where less than half of the college crowd got two wheelers, let alone bikes for that matter. So the above description was very true in my case. Zma then was like a king. Fast forward to 2023, almost every motorcycle nowadays offers far more performance than the original 'Zma, the game has moved forward, quite a bit and its far more competitive. The present day crowd obviously will compare it with the present day competition and I honestly feel the bike needed little more effort from Hero side. Its very difficult to recreate the magic in today's time but I think they could have made it a lil bit more special. As you said, I think a slightly larger, torquier motor could have helped. Overall I still think its still a good bike, but Karizma special? Probably no.

Great comment, man. As a person who has experienced the riding experience of OG Karishma and understands what it stood for, I feel the same. The only real competitor in this segment back in the day was Pulsar 220, which too was a great machine and was unique in its own way. Anyway, as you mentioned, this time, they could have gone back to the basics. Could have gone for a bigger and more torquier engine with a better pillion comfort. Definitely, that would have been more like what KARISHMA stood for.

I like old Karizma ...and I think the same styling and semi faired bold looks are not coming from the original looks ...rather they have tried to go the way market is trending liking for sport's looking bikes....by any chance this will be successful or fail only time will tell....I wish hero had brought out something between old Karizma and the Suzuki bandit in terms of looks and styling because when Karizma was launched it used to look like a proper tough made big bike....where as this bikes feels very cute.
