@@brayleys I picked mine up on Wednesday just gone and I love it. I've already covered 437mi (700km) in it and I'm super impressed by it. I find it's the perfect blend of power and efficiency. Went for a drive from Gibraltar to Tarifa in Spain and averaged 68mpg. It's quite a hilly road and most of it's 50mph (80km/h). Even on faster roads it's really good on fuel, averaging 62mpg.

@Whole_Ammo83 I live in warmer climates, so a heated steering wheel isn't a necessity for me. It's a great car. I've over 12500mi since I bought it.

Fantastic Review, thank you for the content and simple explanations. I am now the proud owner of this latest Honda CIVIC, outstanding would be an understatement....Honda engineering have got this Model EXACTLY as any modern vehicle should be. Comfort and 'Ride Quality' can only be described as "second to none", the 'Road Noise' is certainly acceptable and not at all intrusive...the best Test being my Grandfather actually falling asleep in the rear...,sticking with HONDA from today, onwards....G.A.R.

Update from 4 weeks ago, (if any future purchaser interested). TRULY OUTSTANDING would be an understatement. Just returned from Cornwall, back to Yorkshire. HONDA has got the Series 11 CIVIC absolutely "perfect", cannot 'Praise' this enough, having taken clear and confident advice from so many previous owners....GET ONE NOW .

Another selling point is this is an easy to use car for both me and my partner who are older, will only need 1car, and just need an easy set of quick to understand controls. Lots of other new cars are just too fiddly to safely use imo , all touchscreen and too many settings!

I have a new crv hybrid with set up as the Civic can you stop the car leave it in drive or reverse and just switch off the power button mine seems to put it into park when you do this am I doing something wrong. This was the system I used in my Peugeot 3008 when shutting the engine off

Excellent video If I were to select brake hold. Would I still be required to apply the parking brake when I get out As I know some vehicles I drive as soon as I take the seat belt off and stopped it applies the park brake.

Great question. Did you manage to get an answer? I test drove the car last week, and if i`m not mistaken, it doesn`t do that. But i didn`t look at it in detail, just remember the car rolling a bit when getting out of the car, even if the gearbox was in Park

Yes you will need to apply it. You can set it to automatically apply when you turn off the car. The brake hold only remains on for about twenty minutes when you come to a temporary halt.

@@Gabztar97 No, it doesn`t. It has High Beam Assist, but it only switches between Low and High beam if there are vehicles in front (or road illumination), but it won`t isolate the vehicles in front, like VAG Matrix LED Headlights do for example.

Saw one at dealer... Car a bit too low, I am 6.1. I liked how it looked. I will have another look and test drive it. The hrv has different engine 1.5 L. Not as good as in the civic otherwise good hight.

Carwow have proved that once again Honda have UNDER estimated the 0-60 in SPORT it managed it in 6.7 seconds to 60! BE WARNED. Brake hold only last for about 30 seconds, then you start creeping towards the car in front of you in a traffic queue situation.

Very nice, but grossly overpriced..These hybrids are selling for about 30k,. 15 months ago, I could pick up a pre reg civic with full glass sunroof for 18k...so £12k extra now because its hybrid...I don't think so...

Toyota just trumped this with its recently revealed new Prius Hybrid. In its highest trim it has over 200bhp and 0-100 kmh in under 7 seconds

But its still a weird car, of course much nicier than before, but still prefer this Civic over the Prius, and it must be said, Civic competitor is the Toyota Corolla, as always.
