With your turbo compared to the stock one on the FL5 how will the bottom end performance be affected? Torque specifically.

Spool is the same as the OEM FK8 turbo all in by 3500....so 500rpm slower than FL5 stock turbo however more volume of air so more torque, lower IAT, more power on less boost and holds on all the way to the end 😀

I find it weird that in the usa with Hondata there Abel to make more power with fl5 then the fk8, can it fuel issue of different octane

They do make more power in stock form or as a "stage 1" as the car hits peak power and peak torque faster it's when you go past this point as we have done many times with the FK8 platform you simply can't make the same grunt as the turbo can't hold on the same as the exhaust wheel on the fl5 is that much smaller. For example you can target 30psi of boost pressure on an FK8 OEM turbo and get it to taper back but with the FL5 it can't even hit that at all plus pushing that small frame turbo increases the EGT temps too fast...also keep in mind that 10psi on a small frame turbo isn't the same on a larger one ! Pressure is the same but the volume changes. Fueling isn't the issue the turbo is just hitting VE and we aren't talking HP we are using metric KW so it made 330hp at the wheels before we can see it becoming unsafe to push it if that makes sense
