2023 Honda CRV EX 0-60

Honda’s newer cvts are pretty decent, but man is this slow… I bet another 30 hp would make a huge difference. How’s it feel “seat of the pants”?

@@joshgutierrez7380 it’s adequate, i think the 0-30 time is super laggy while the turbo builds, 30-60 seems pretty good though. For the class of car it is, I’m sure most buyers will be fine with it

They could of made it with an option for the larger engine. This is just one of those marketing tactics where if you want a cheap CRV you get punished unless you buy the more expensive honda pilot.

It isn't a marketing tactic.. they always put smaller motors in lower level vehicles and go for bigger engines in larger vehicles

its okay for a day to day driving,.. but for performance,, nope.. I have the sport 1.5 and its pretty slow.

Why on earth would they use the same 1.5TC engine from the Civic, this car needs the Accord's 2.0T

My 2019 Civic feels faster than this and it has got a tiny 2.0L engine with no turbos and a CVT.

​@@KC-zi4qb also height makes a difference in how you feel the acceleration. You can feel power but not speed. Only see it. Seen suvs with 250 to 300hp but only because the are so big and heavy, they aren't as fast above 80mph. Slap that same 250hp in a smaller and lighter car and that car becomes a rocket real quick
