2023 Honda Monkey Dyno Test part 2 with engine mods at the Ace Cafe

This is the same #hondamonkey that I filmed a few weeks ago. Owner installed a fresh air intake and complete #yoshimura exhaust and a mild tune. This #honda put out a few more HP than last time. KTM 200 similar msrp but over twice the horsepower and 6 speed from the factory. I have a Grom. It’s tough to maintain 50. The KTM is fine with 70

KTM 200 26 horsepower, 330 pounds, $3999. Monkey 9 horsepower, 230 pounds $3999. The monkey has trouble with 50 mph not so with KTM

I love KTMs. That would be a no-brainer for me. I currently own a 2017 KTM 500 EXCF and talk about horsepower.

You are comparing a piece of plastic made in india with a japanese motorcycle built to last you half a century. There's a reason that the KTM is at that price point. Numbers aren't everything.

There is no point in a split air intake for that engine but looks cool

It sure does look cool, but in reality that little engine couldn't really use all that air.

This is not my bike it was just someone's bike that I was filming. I don't have full details on all of the upgrades that were done to it. Sorry, but I think a little research online can help you find who makes this intake.

​@TheJosephayal what is best years/model monkey for low end torque? I will almost never go over 45mph. Most my ride is 25 to 35 and plenty of stops. I'm big guy, 6'1", 235lbs. Want low end power for my bodyweigjt.
