You don’t need to take the trim off around the handle before removing the panel. Pull the screw and pull quickly and it’ll come off in 2 seconds

I have to ask, why are you removing the panels on a brand new 23 Pilot? I like to dabble in mods, and I just bought a new 23 Pilot. Is this for installing sound deadening material?

In my case, we were tinting the windows. You get a better install when you take the weather sill out, instead of shoving the film between it and the glass. But sure, you could do the same process and install sound deadening material, change out your door speaker or fix a broke door handle
