@@JSFitness I love both Toyota and Honda but I have to give the edge to Honda in tech features. Things just work smoother on Hondas. Like their walk away auto lock. I had it on a Civic and it worked perfectly every time. Toyota has touch lock and unlock but its a bit quirky.

I like that Trail Sport trim. Actually has some off road extras and isn’t just badging like some brands. The Palisade and Telluride have forced the other manufacturers to step up their game and that’s good for us. Still gonna wait until the market cools down though; still got dealers in my area asking as much as 8,000 over MSRP.

I like it. On the Elite trim (and Touring?), it comes with ventilated front seats as well. One thing that worries me and I’ll have to check on is whether it has a terribly large turning radius. That’s a big no no if you live in the city.

@@fredmoss4540 Well, sort of. I used to live in Chicago and NYC and I’ve driven everything from a tiny VW Fox that I could almost lift, to good old big American sedans. Maneuvering and parking the VW was a breeze. With the big American sedans, I was glad to have very solid bumpers. I actually did look up the turning circle on the new Pilot. It’s not bad at all. 37.8 feet. That’s about the same as a Honda Accord. Go Honda! With surround view cameras on higher trims and parking sensors, this thing could actually work in cities.

It's interesting to just see that when the Telluride and Palisade came out/debuted it's seems the competition took notice of the outside styling. More rugged, upright, and boxy seems to be the goal. Pathfinder has become, from round and jellybean. Highlander still seems roundish. Pilot is now more upright and boxy. Traverse was and will become more most likely. Ascent is jellybean-like.. Mazda seems to be getting more upright and boxy. Explorer is much sharper as well. Just glad to see the round and jellybean shape fade out.

I totally agree. Telluride & Pallisade set the industry benchmark & everyone has been chasing ever since. Great to see the Pathfinder & now Pilot back in the game. Will be interesting to see where pricing & warranty compare. And who will be the #1 best selling 3row in 2023.

Such a great improvement. Doesn't quite match the Telluride or Palisade for near-premium, but that's to be expected as not to encroach on the MDX territory. I do like the sliding and reclining 2nd row, which I think the MDX lacks. I do wish the Elite trim had body-color wheel arches and a more upscale grille.
@peterandrewj

The Telluride and Palisade are dressed up, but I'm not sure they can match the underpinnings of the new Pilot, i.e., engine/trans, efficiency, AWD system, build quality. I would pay $45K for the Trailsport. I'm not looking for a status symbol.
