Better that than the worst crash test rating of any SUV out there (ie the Jeep Wrangler, but none of its buyers seem care one bit, and I actually almost ended up buying one, as I otherwise love what the Wrangler stands for).

I actually don't like that a lot of companies not making the 2nd row a bench seat as an available option. Be nice if they offer the option, but I feel having two seats in the middle defeats the purposeof the vehicle.

@@adelsaleh81 it’s not that they don’t want to make bench seats, most of them still make bench seats for the lower trim levels, the problem is that the top trim level is always captain’s chairs, so for someone who wants all the available features plus a bench seat, it’s nearly impossible, except current generation MDX.

I love the boxy body. I can't stand all the other cars that are bubbly. I still have my 2011 pilot because its boxy shape and the newer ones they made after that year they started getting bubbly. Third row and pulling capability is also a plus.

Honda, please let your customers have the choice to kill the VCM and Auto Engine Stop Start permanently. These are the two factors that hinder people's decision of buying another Honda. I know you can buy third party solutions to kill these features, but it is silly that in order to protect the longevity of the car customers have to fork out extra money and time to cancel some features that the manufacturers can offer out of factory.

Passport Trailsport should have been released with some of these features included (skid plates, hitch, lifted suspension, possibly a more efficient powertrain) instead of just an appearance package. It's shorter dimensions would seem to be more favorable for offroad activities than a 3 row SUV.

The Passport is still using the old light truck platform. Honda did want to dump money into revising a platform that they are going to get rid of in two years. Honda said this in the press release of the Passport Trail-sport that the next gen Passport will be receiving a raised suspension, skid plates, off road tires, etc…

70-80% of American roads are occupied by economical cars. I hope Honda has given due diligence on it. In an era of political uncertainty where gas prices will always remain on higher end it’s better to opt for an hybrid. Off road capabilities are need once a year and not everyday. Too much marketing and focus.

I own a Honda. Looking forward for the New Pilot. disappointed about the Tablet style mounted-on-dash design. Would have been so much more 'finished' interior with the Nav integrated in the panel. Liked the side mirrors are in the corner of the A pillar and NOT on the door itself (side of vehicle like an afterthought). Hoping to see that it has an actual gear shift and NOT the push button design. Hate That. From viewing ( a few times) Lyn Woodward's off road drive, looks like the Pilot meets most of what I am looking for in an SUV, so hope I am not a disappointed shopper when 2023 Pilot comes on market.

As a current owner of Pilot, I hope Honda did better job with fitment of outshell panels. I know this kind of quality increase cost , but we are in 21st century, so Honda step up and improve quality.
