For a sedan, challenge is when there is rear seat passengers and/or luggage in boot. With just front passengers, most sedans do just fine

The Indian road conditions in 90s were extremely poor. But then the most selling car was Ambassador with the ground clearance of just 152 mm. SUV owners have only one point to justify their purchase which is GC. Apart from that, you can see their envious behaviour when a sedan overtakes them on motorways.

Ground clearance has not improved 4 or 5 passengers onboard and then it will start hugging the road. SKoda and Volkswagen has done good job .

Lol, sedans are not even meant for high ground clearance.. Their nature and shape itself is low slung posture for better grip, stability, handling and aerodynamics.. Just drive carefully on speed breakers and potholes in a city like Hyderabad, where the roads are good enough to accommodate sedans, and you are all good 👍💯
