Good points, currently it does cost an insane amount of power to run these GPU's that power these models but hopefully they will become more efficient like most things. I think in a few years to come there will be no way to avoid using them. They will be baked into most design programs.

It's not suitable for all applications, but you can get plastic bump cap inserts for baseball caps. I was recently considering if i should get some head PPE as well. I don't typically like wearing hats but figure it might be smart to have if i get in to more serious diy work, or go professional and need something, then yeah, i figure i should invest in quality for my health. Otherwise, i imagine you've got everything else covered well already. I like my Blue Tongue / Redback boots (I think i have the BT Station) with some nice insoles and good wool socks. Super comfy, lots of protection. Also various forms of 3M hearing PPE for different environments, but also some Etymotic plugs I EDC for neutral sound suppression - good for bars and concerts. Glad you've invested in lung protection, too. It's definitely neglected, and admittedly a pain to wear consistently. I got a half mask with a quick drop down strap that's helped a little with lowering user friction. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to find my ideal Eyewear. Definitely want to get prescription, just have been putting it off. I'm due for new eyewear all around. Just hard finding stuff that looks stylish and feels comfy.

i use to have the Etymotic plugs for when I was raving in clubs, might have to start using those again because with safety glasses, face mask and ear protectors it does get a bit clunky to work in. I dont like the fact the 3M 7500 masks dont have an easy way to take on and off the mask and not get in the way

I just want point out that I don't do screen printing, nor do I record or listen to cassette tapes any more, but I thoroughly enjoyed that video of yours, much more than the Chinesium product reviews, but I get that they bring in money for you.

Hey DD, i was wondering what you do to finance your projects? Did you study engineering?

Great question, I often wonder this myself with other KZbinrs I follow. For me it breaks down like so: Half of my income comes from the 2 KZbin channels I run (this one and Drift Deeper channel). The other half comes from working as a freelancer where I do various design/consultation work. I don't earn a lot, probably the equivalent of someone working a basic retail job, but its enough to pay my bills and give me money left over each month to invest into these channels. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in my position, it would be much harder if I didnt have the support (both emotional and financial) of my partner Lax. My partner and I are also frugal and have little overheads too and this helps massively, we have no kids, no cars, we dont drink/party etc. I studied graphic design at university, I'm not very academic so engineering wouldn't have suited me, especially in the traditional education setup in the west, i hate reading so im pretty sure I would have failed haha.
