That’s one nice ride there. That engine might just be the best looking V-twin ever produced! Great review! Cheers, Lupo

Hey RedAng - Great video as usual! ...I'm surprised you didn't test the Indian Scout instead...since you obviously loved your Speedmaster and Triumph watched the Scout receive loads of "Best bike of the year" awards when it came out in 2015,,,three years later Triumph released the Speedmaster as an obvious copy of the Scout. Roughly the same size, weight ,fuel tank size and look (chunky tyres , seat height and wheelbase) but one big difference...Triumph only had it's 1200 engine to power it and the 77bhp output was aced by the Scout's 100bhp - it makes all the difference! The Scout has ZIP which is important in urban squirts - the Speedmaster feels a bit flat footed in that respect. I had a Speedmaster for 6 months/2000 miles and traded up to a Scout, I LOVE the extra ZIP and the only downside is the Scout is a tiny bit less comfortable on long rides. Having said that I don't mis the Speedmasters terrible rear monoshock suspension with so little travel that your spine is banged on every speedbump and pothole,(I never get that with the Scout's dual shocks. Given a road with no potholes the Triumph would win on comfort - but a single hole will send you heading home with a pain in your coccyx !!! Take care!

Hi, thanks so much I appreciate that 👍 A great point, I will have to try out the Scout! Sounds like a lovely upgrade
@markiesmith45374 ай бұрын
One last thing - Triumph copied the Scout's single front disc on the Bobber (but not on the Speedmaster thank goodness) ...the Scout's single front disc is a mistake IMO, especially since it's more powerful than the Speedmaster ... plenty of "WHOAA" moments guaranteed. If riding 2 up or with luggage you will be using the back brake a lot...it does stop but the Speedmaster is much better.

I like this bike quite a lot! I'd have to move the bars closer but that's the only change I'd make. It's a lot of money but so is the Moto Guzi v100 Mandello which is another completely different style of bike I'm considering. I've owned Harley's in the past and also a Honda Shadow and my biggest concern is the super low seat hight. I'm riding a Triumph Tiger 850 now and the commanding view of the road ahead you'll never get from a cruiser. I live in the States in Tennessee and the roads here are twisty with lots of blind curves and elevation changes. Riding a cruiser here is a bit like driving an MGB! You have to guess what's over the next rise.

Great review and I love the bike. We have a Krazy Horse branch about an hour from me at Bury St Edmunds. It's a great place to visit just to see all the Indian bikes as well as the other exotica in stock(and a good cafe on site). Never been taken by Harley's, but I must admit I have a bit of a thing for Indians bikes.

Good video with useful insights. Love Indian and I'm a member of the tribe. Just wish the torque was also given in foot pounds along with newtons. 116 ci thunderstroke has 120 ft lbs of tourque.

I rode many bikes in few years. I enjoyed many bikes. I don’t have favorite manufacturer brand. I love all motorcycle style. GSXR750, Road King are Sport Chief my most favorite. I own a Suzuki GS500F, it’s fun bike! I think it funny when people say sport bike better than American cruiser. Every bike has their own purpose. Some people like slow. Some people like relax body position. Some people like elegant. Some people like V than inline. Some people like ride off-road. I think 3 sexy bike manufacturers are MV Agusta, Harley-Davidson and BMW.

The seat would be too low for me. Nice-looking bike, though. Expensive. 1890cc air-cooled engine. It's going to fly. I used to love the engine on my MT-01 - air-cooled, 1670cc. There is no substitute for cubes. I don't like touch screens. What's wrong with a switch? Nick J
@redangrevival Жыл бұрын
It is unique thats for sure! Yup seems like all the bigger cruisers these days are very expensive. I guess you pay for CC's. I think the touch screen keeps it nice and simple and minimal looking, it does work very well 👍

These American cruisers are laughably overpriced. Cool, but I’ll just get a V4 Ducati or R1 long before one of these grossly underpowered weights on two wheels. Interesting how the Japanese brands can produce a far superior cruiser for a hell of a lot less…
