An impressive bunch of bikes -n- Biker's but I gotta ask why some of them are packed for a serious camping type trip? I'm no expert & I've only just learned about this ride but they are all packed up in a major way. Who knows, I do not which is why I'm asking now? Now I'll watch the 2 minute video, peace

None of us know where we're due to end up over the 11 days and many riders will not book or use formal accomodation (some do, we did) - those who ride long and hard will often manage their sleep requirements in response to how they're feeling and simply stop on the side of the road, or in a shelter of sorts and sleep on park benches. - Known as the 'IBA Motel', these impromptu stops can provide enough rest to sustain a rider through the early hours of the morning etc, if the weather is bad, then tarps / sleeping mats can help. Not all would bother to pitch a tent though, although some can and do.

I got cha, I've only seen these things just 2 hrs ago so I've seen w/ this video, 3 about this trip & this was the first group ride. That's why I was trying to figure out all this? Thanks for steering me straight. When I do get my bike I'm probably gonna go do this ride. peace
