Nice to have some of the creature comforts out bush every now and then.

Good walk through, they’ve certainly packed a lot into it. Not sure that outdoor kitchen spot is “correct” though.

Yeah plenty packed into it. Either way it would be sweet to have the outdoor option.

Those awning strip lights are great, until the awning material shits itself. The cabling to run the lights is sewn into the awning seam at the rear edge, and the only way to neatly return your lights to running condition is to buy a VERY expensive, whole new awning roller ! I did a dodgy with mine, which looks a bit crappy, but at least the LED still works, and I didn't have to pay a fortune for a new complete roller ! There has to be a better way to have an awning strip light than what is being offered ??????
@OutdoorsCBR Жыл бұрын
Yeah how did you do it? Run the cabling external? Not sure what other options there are out there. I assume there are different designs. But can see what you mean. I have seen the material by itself replaced, and I assume there is a way to feed the cable through the seam of the new material.
@AraratGold Жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorsCBR Yes mate, fitted spade connectors to the cut wires coming out of the van and led strip, then when the awning is open plug a length of cable between the spade plugs. Looks dodgy as fuck, but it works ! Buggered if I was going to pay the thousand odd dollars for a complete new roller !🤣🤣

Cooker is placed where is because its "law" now that cooker cant be under awning in case awning catches fire ( which some dumb shit has done ) . Cooking without weather protection seems ridiculous , but there you go.
@OutdoorsCBR Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info Peter. Yeah that makes sense. I'm sure there are people out there capable of catching their awning on fire.

To me the kitchen is the wrong way around. Most camper trailers have the kitchen facing to the inside of the awning/annex, wouldn't take a lot of work to turn them around.
@Measuretwicelad5 ай бұрын
Fully agree, for me it should face inwards…I guess a personal thing 😊

@@OutdoorsCBR yes they do, Jayco is a big seller in the US, could be a separate company.

Silence your diesel heater fuel pump !!! Mine is attached by a bolt for travel, but I undo the bolt & let it hang for use, it is silent.
@OutdoorsCBR Жыл бұрын
Yeah OK, that sounds like it is worth a try. On our last van, I hung it by bungee cord it was probably quieter that our current one. I will try hang it to see how it sounds.
@Stormy_Knight Жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorsCBR I just leave mine hanging by the fuel lines. I mounted it on the chassis with the rubber mount but it was so loud inside. So I just unbolted it the next night & it is now silent. Just have to remember to bolt it back up during packup. I even thought of just using some sort of quick release…but never got to doing that mod.

Tried to get a bit more info on Jayco's web site. Well, that a terrible web site, very hard to find very much info on this van. Also trying to find the price, I did find a price on a different web site and it says it's priced at $72,000, I hope this is not correct, way over priced if that's true, because it's a nice van, would like to buy Australian made, but not at this price.

Unfortunately, I think the brand new model was discontinued. This 2023 model turned out to be the last run.
