Had you simply kept your foot in the throttle the system would’ve figured out the wheel was spinning and made it forward. The driver kept hitting the brakes before the system could do its job. Jeep has one of, if not the best awd sytem available, short maybe of the system in the Trailhawk and the Bronco Sport.

I bought the 2021 limited and so far it’s gone over some rough terrain with few problems. You just have to figure which option to set it at and keep an eye on the limitations as not to bottom out.

I almost purchased a 2022 compass this past week and held off due to the lack of engine. I drive cherokee now with its V6 so I am hoping to trade in for a 2023 compass limited or traihawk once the prices come down a bit. Love how they look and glad to know the engine is no longer anemic.

Now is the time to look. The new engine/transmission sealed the deal for me. I found a 2023 Trailhawk loaded with every option package available (MSRP 47,215) for 37,700, nearly 10k off sticker. Still experienced a bit of sticker shock but it’s a beautiful vehicle and performs well. Powertrain is significantly improved over earlier models and I’m getting 28-30 mpg real world gas mileage.

Just got my '23 Compass Limited last week. Your comments about the new engine/transmission, all spot on, as with the interior. I't super quiet, which shocked me at first. By far it's the quietest all around I've drink in a crossover. I was also shocked by some auto mags reviews, which invariably differ from my test drive impressions. The one area Jeep fails at is, pricing. My Compass listed at a little over $37k, a price I never would have paid. So with the 15% off, coming in at $31,500, it was a done deal. The options packages are again, overpriced, and I likely would never pay for the Trailhawk. I drove two different Mazdas, the CX-5 and the new CX-50. The new CX-50 does not ride firm, it punishes you for every flaw in a normal daily driver road. The gorgeous interiors of Mazdas, not to mention how great they drive, have led some journalists to say they are luxury. Sorry, but the ride matters. But without the discount, I'd not be in a Jeep.

They will sell a lot of those Jeeps, I think our 2020 did 8.9, a tune & intake brought it to 8.6 best but a 7.8 is much faster, power brake probably gonna see mid 7’s. Never had a single problem with Compass, Cherokee, or Grand Cherokee L.

When looking for a new SUV, I test drove this exact model...it was the noisiest interior of every test drive we took, even at normal 40mph...creaks and cracks...I'm not talking about engine noise, just regular road noise was horrendous! Big pass

All Jeeps is the best for today's world The Hornet is ugly and more foreign looking and think they can compete against the best Dodge cars like calendars and Chargers and a Trailhawk and trackhawk not even close I don't like Lane assist on any vehicle that makes your steering wheel feel loose and strange
