Happy Friday everyone! Here is the long-awaited tour video of our new 2023 Wrangler 4xe! Sorry it took us a bit to get this video filmed and posted, its been a crazy last couple of months! We'll be sure to update you throughout the year on this vehicle as we own it, we never thought we'd be the owners of a Jeep, but there truly is something special about driving a Wrangler! We're looking forward to seeing a refreshed model shown possibly late this year.

The prices for these Jeeps are CRAZY! $69k for a Jeep Wrangler that barely gives you any electric range and has pretty poor combined gas mileage. You aren’t keeping this for long so it probably doesn’t even matter but for someone who keeps a car 10+ years probably ain’t worth it.

If you aren’t keeping it for long then that’s when price matters the most. Over 10-20 years 60K vs 70K doesn’t mean much. In a few years, the difference in depreciation is far greater. Also the longer you keep this plug in hybrid, the more miles you can drive on EV only to negate the expensive starting price

They're going to have to keep it for a couple of years if they plan to get that tax credit and *keep* that tax credit.

The upside is that the JL maintains the highest residual value of any non-luxury vehicle. Yes, it is damn expensive. But working a deal plus the tax incentive does ease some of the burden. Jeep also knows they don't have a true competitor to these, and priced it accordingly.

I got the first generation of this exact same trim back in 2021 brand new, same color and all except I got the all black rims. At the time it was 60K but we leased it. Now that the lease is almost up, our buyout price is about 37K. Mind you, we’ve literally only put about 20K miles so keep in mind that they depreciate pretty steeply, pretty quickly. That being said, I absolutely love it and I’m sure it will have depreciated even more once my lease (that we paid for in full up front) will be up at which point I will 110% take the purchase option. I can’t express how much Iove my beautiful wrangler high altitude!

Very interesting that you traded the Mach-E in for a Wrangler... I've driven them before and thought they were horrible for a daily driver unless you plan to go offroading often.

Sofyan I sure hope you don't live in cool climate. Bc that thing is useless. I'm in Chicago and this jeep legit only works 3/4 of year as intended. It won't let go into electric mode in any temps under 40. And expect mgs closer to the 392 not a Prius. I'm sure you did your research. But just wanted to share an ex-owners opinion.

I have a 4xe Rubicon, that I've had since June 2022, and it's been fantastic. No issues, and my gas usage has really dropped in half. Road trips are so fun with this vehicle. Your High Altitude looks so awesome, and gives a G-wagon vibe.

Oh! I have this exact model/spec on order! Like you Sofyan, iI tend to prefer small/sporty cars (and have even had a couple of electrics - currentlyt driving a GV60) - but there is something about Wranger's. The first time i drove one i wasn't impressed. But slowly over time I've learned to really love them. Enjoy!

9:30 The biggest things for the launch are, 4Auto, TC off, and both feet stomped on both pedals; this will start the ICE no matter what mode you're in. Once the tach hits 2k, skip the brake. On my Rubi, it breaks them all loose and you're gone.

Awesome! I was torn between the Polestar 2 and the 4xe about a year ago. Ultimately some of the engine shutdown horror stories about the 4xe scared me off, and I also wanted experience a full EV. It sounds like Jeep has the issue under control now. I’m curious to see what you think going from a full EV back to a plug-in hybrid.

Bmw X3M, Bronco Wildtrack, AudSq5, AUDI RS3, BMW M240i x DRIVE, BMW M340i x DRIVE, GENESIS GV70 top trim, Lexus GX470, Dodge Durango srt or rt, Slightly used MACAN GTS, LEXUS IS500, CAMARO Zl1.... I'm a closet Jeep fan. However, I could not get past the VERY POOR reliability/longevity ratings that brand earns year after year. Will be interesting to see your comments on fit/finish, reliability & longevity. For me, long-term reliability is the major concern as repair of these advanced systems will be expensive.

Hello Sofyan. I bought my 2021 Rav4 Prime about the time you were talking about selling yours. You said you didn't like lugging around an engine all the time and wanted to go all electric. Did something change there? I feel like you are either lugging around a big battery or an engine to get range. Congratulations on the engagement. I saw a negative comment here, but I like the personal stuff as it gives context to the purchase. This wasn't just about you, it was about you and Keith, and I think that's very often the case with car purchases. It can be a compromise or sometimes the enthusiasm of one partner spreads to the other. I enjoy your reviews, but right now I'm only watching review of electric and plug-in hybrids. : )

Thank you! There is the argument from both ends when it comes to hauling around a big battery, or an engine. We think the battery technically weighs more, but there's a case for both arguments. Ultimately, you are the only one who can decide if a PHEV or full EV works better for you! Personally, we think a hybrid is better for those of you who take road trips all the time. May be a future video topic we do soon :)

Do the research on the paint blistering issue that is plaguing the JL’s since they switched to aluminum in ‘18. I posted a video on this. After a 4 month wait, ours is getting the hood and all 4 doors repainted. A shame for a $55k vehicle. The sad thing is Jeep has not done a single thing in 4+ years to correct this. This issue should be the subject of your next video.

In terms of pricing, the federal incentive is now down half now (3750 now), you mentioned getting ~7K off MSRP + 7500 tax. Are folks getting additional discounts off msrp above the 7k to make up for the reduced tax incentive?

Very nice! I've had 3 Jeeps over the years, and now I finally went to a Ridgeline Pickup. My last Jeep, 2018 Cherokee Trailhawk, got really terrible MPG and had a really small gas tank, only 14 gallons usable, at 18 MPG! Now that they have a plug-in, I might go back!

@@tyler4093 LOL , It's all about functionality for the person that owns it. The Ridgeline does everything I need it to do, and that I bought it for, and does it for $5000 less than Ford & Chevy. The thing the truck purest, body-on-frame guys, don't like about the Ridgeline is that it out performs all the competition for MPG and features, and is more comfortable. Also, it does great off-road. Not the serious, crazy off road that only 1% of truck owners do, but the normal, every day off road that 99% of truck owners do - and all for less money and better reliability.

What a gorgeous vehicle. I think this trim Wrangler is the best looking one you can get. The color keyed fenders and bumpers make it look very classy and those wheels are beautiful. I love the light color interior with the white exterior paint and this is loaded with features for a Wrangler. You guys chose right! That full length fabric sky power top is awesome and I would much rather have that then fulling with folding a regular fabric top or removing panels on a regular hard top, with this you get the best of both worlds like its a convertible or a much more insulated full roof when closed. Nice!

(Pushes glasses up on nose) Also note there are 2 electric motors. The P1 motor is mounted to the front of the engine, and it generates 44hp. The P2 motor is the one you mentioned they replaces the torque converter. Glad you joined 4xe club!

Seems hit or miss. My first brand new car was a 2013 Jeep Patriot and it was great for the 6 years I owned it, put over 110k on it before I traded it in. The wife's 2018 Cherokee transmission seemed to almost never shift right, had a couple recalls, and a handful of warranty repairs needed during the lease. It's a toss up I guess.

$8k off sticker is what I found here in GA on a Grand Cherokee. And that was before we even got to negotiation. Ultimately I went with a Mazda CX-9 because the salesman broke the seat and I remembered why it was that I don't buy Jeeps.

My Car doesn't have wireless apple car play so purchased a - Carplay2air - Adapter. Had it a Year & no issues. may want to look into that..Did you have to alter/change your Home charger to a FCA one or did you buy one of those Universal Home Chargers ?? ( You had a Ford wasnt sure you had there charger installed and it would still charge your Jeep or you already had a Universal one )

Almost leased one of these early last year, but was really unimpressed with the test drive. Steering had a lot of play, body roll was excessive, and NVH was pretty bad. So even though the lease deal was incredible at the time I did not take it in the end.

Nice Jeep! Hopefully you realize that not everything you refer to as "leather" or "leather stitching"" involves actual leather or sewing together of panels. There rolled goods that are PU or other "leather substitutes" and some are faux-stitched (with real thread) to give a cut-n-sew appearance. Just FYI.

Looking for a New Jeep Gladiator myself. I was turned off by the dated dash. It's 2023, LOL! There needs to be a digitally updated dash. If not, I'm getting a 2023 Chevy Colorado since they come standard with digital dashes. All Models which is cool. I do love everything Jeep though so hoping 2024 brings a revised and much-needed upgrade because Jeeps aren't cheap! Love your Jeep High Altitude in white. Your seats are really nice! Great Video!

Beautiful Wrangler! The only Stellantis dealer within a 45 minute drive is horrible. I wouldn't own a new or low mile used vehicle by them for that reason alone. As much as I'd love to have a 6.4L wide-bodied Challenger.
