John deer makes home maintenance kits for all zero turns! Any new zero turn engine it’s a good ideas to do the first oil change/oil filter change at 7-10 hours and then at 50 hours do a home maintenance kit from your local dealership. If you don’t hit the hours each year then do a home maintenance kit once a year and besides that keep blades sharp and spindles greased and it will run forever

Really nice mower for the money. If ya wanted to get rid of the mess and tryin grow thicker grass you could get a tow behind dethatcher and run it around your yard and then overseed it with a seed of your choice. If you do that,wait until the fall or early spring.

I just got a 2023 Z315E from Lowes for $3,199.00 (pre-tax) with free delivery to my house. Yes, this model year is a serious upgrade from the 2022 and earlier models. Cuts really nice and serious power and cutting capacity from what I had (23 year old Craftsman riding lawnmower with 30 inch deck and 10 HP engine) Bummer you had damage and flat tires. I did a walk around for mine before signing off on the delivery. Does yours have sticker on the frame indicating a John Deere dealer in your area had serviced the mower? Mine does. I believe this is standard practice with Lowes/Home Depot with John Deere but I may wrong. Contact John Deere and see what they say about the damage and flat tires.

Yes, it has a lot of power. I'm still getting the hang of it. Unfortunately, I didn't see any sticker to indicate it was serviced by a john deer dealer. I'll look into it, there's a dealer about 5miles from me. I was disappointed when I saw the damage later that day, but I just didn't want to deal with the customer service and having to prove that I didn't cause the damage.

just ordered this mower will be in June 7 2023, came from a ( 42 inch Husqvarna none zero turns tractor )chose the Z315E over the craftsman zero turns 46 inch. only 3099.99

I’ve always had a normal steering wheel riding lawnmower, I want a zero turn, but very skeptical of trying something completely different. Do you still like zero turn? You said it’s fast, so it is way faster then a regular one? I just can’t make my mind up witch one to buy. Thank you

Yes! It's great and it is so much faster than the mower with steering wheel, I believe this due to the fact it can turn much quicker. Good luck on your purchase.

If you have a real tight lawn with lots of obstacles to go around and hills or steep Banks zero-turn is not a good way to go were they really shine is Big open areas lots of acres

I own a z320m with a kit as well love it.I like the way the front wheels protect the deck. The Kawasaki engine should last forever if you follow the maintenance to the letter.

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

AgPro gives you a full tank up into the funnel. Never buy from a home improvement store. AgPro is the only way to go.

Yea it was a bummer! The local dealer near me did not have the 315e in stock. It was the upper models. My options where limited. If I had to do it again. I'd definitely search elsewhere

I almost bought one of these ah Home Depot. I asked questions about their delivery process and asked for a full tank of gas and was told I would get enough gas to start the mower. I went to a John Deere dealer and understood this is an entry level John Deere that dealers do not sell. I bought a slightly more expensive model. They delivered it the same day filled to gas. Mine has a Kawasaki engine. Total beast in the grass cutting department.

That's a cheap one, I got the commercial version, bought it from John deere, and the deck has a step on the deck, and you can adjust the seat to your weight.

Believe it or not. The deck spindles usually wear out first before the deck does cause people forget to grease the spindles

It’s funny you mentioned they don’t fill up your gas tank. I’ve heard bad things on knock off John Deere‘s from Lowe’s,Menards, Home Depot etc. if you want a good John Deere you have to go through the dealership and they always fill up the gas tank and they’re backed by their warranty. If you take that to a John Deere dealer, they will not work on it.

@@joshuasmith5837 wrong. Any that end with a 5 in the zero turns has Briggs and any that end with a zero are Kawasaki. A z320r from a deer dealer is the same exact machine at Lowes.

but that's the great thing about them. you don't have to service them. when they go bad, you just throw the mower away and buy a new one!
