I have the 23 ABS and I love it, it’s not the the best in class but for the money and insurance cost it’s a winner.

Thank you for sharing! All those factors matter and ultimately as long as you love it then it's a great bike. I am so fortunate to ride a lot of bikes and I try to keep it unbiased. I know I said I like the MT-07 more but this bike is a great option. Also, I'm glad you didn't buy a Ninja 650 as it's the only bike I hate lol. Stay safe and Enjoy the Ride!

My msrp $ 7749.00 plus freight etc I have the ABS model $ 349 a year for insurance full coverage it’s a decent bike.

I have a 2023, I am 5’7” I can flat foot with room to spare.

I got the 21 abs z650. a great comfortable seat. better than the sv650. okay ish mpg depending how you ride it. low range revs the clutch biting point is a bit Shakey, but higher up in the rpm its floorless. very very light steering. easy to accidently bring the front wheel up which is great fun. gets a bit less fun at 110mph and higher due to no fairings but we know this when you buy a naked.

Good bike and wouldn't fault anyone for buying one. Just don't buy a ninja 650 is all I ask lol. Stay safe my friend and thanks as always for watching and for the comment.

It Helps if You Have a lighter Hand Grip On the Handle Grips the More You Grip them The more You Feel any Vibration

Nice video.. between this bike, SV 650 and MT 07 how would you rank them from favourite to least favourites? And why

I appreciate you for watching and I'm sorry for the late reply. Between the 3 bikes I would rank them as follows for the 2024 ABS Models 1. MT-07 - $8,199 - 70bhp, 47ft-lbs of Torque, 406lbs - Lighter and more powerful. Overall just felt better and more fun to ride 2. SV650 - $7,949 - 75bhp, 47ft-lbs of Torque, 437lbs - Middle Ground. Delivers good power and solid feel. Older models are cheap and perform just as well as the new ones 3. Z650 - $8,649 - 67bhp, 48ft-lbs of Torque, 414lbs - Good all around bike. The price point is higher that the other options and doesn't really push me personally towards buying it unless it was cheaper. I would put the below bikes ahead of the 3 you listed just for reference. There are a lot of options between 8 and 9k. 1. CFMoto 800NK - $8,499, 100bhp, 59ft-lbs of Torque, 410lbs - Way better suspension, Tech and Power 2. Triumph Trident 660 - $8,595, 81bhp, 47ft-lbs of Torque, 416lbs - Solid in all fronts, Good Power, Torque and Comfort. Not great and anything just good at everything

Thanks for the video. Is the throttle considered "jerky" at low RPM?

Under the stock ECU programming for me Yes. Its just the way its tuned. Most factory tunes are like this to be honest but some are less noticable. Got to pass Emissions standards and all that.

@@MotorcycleDemoRidersinteresting. I decided to get a Honda grom as a starter bike to learn the ropes. Already did safety course and got motorcycle endorsement. I already see myself wanting to upgrade after a season. The grom just doesn't inspire confidence in road driving. Beyond 25mph in my experience. A used z650 looks very appealing to me. From what I read it's fairly compact for it's displacement (this is important so I can fit it in my garage). Also it's for leisure ride mostly town driving, errands, occasional work commute. I'm 5'10" 185lb with a decent build. I sat on a mt07 and it felt good, but the used prices on those are too high. I also think z650 looks better. Thoughts? ..

For what you are looking for and coming from the z650 and mt07 would definitely feel great. The z650 is 2 inches shorter but has a slightly larger wheelbase. I haven't been looking recently at the used market but it doesn't surprise me that the MT-07 is more expensive. All in all if you can find a good priced z650 it would be a great bike and I think you would enjoy it. All that matters in the end is that you like your bike and it does what you need it to do. Would love to hear your thoughts on the z650 if you get one so please don't hesitate to share your feelings

@@MotorcycleDemoRidersended up upgrading to a 2020 z650 from the grom. Has only 52miles on it. Feels great so far. Still in the break in period so can't Rev it above 5k.
