That was a strangely satisfying video to watch, a montage of all the finishing touches on every installed component: dropping in the headset and spacers, screwing down the top cap, finishing the handlebar after cutting it, tossing the rag, popping the valve stem through... that bite into the cookie...

Nice, subtle build....love the simple color highlights. I personally don't like purple, but to each their own, but it looks good. I would have went with gold/yellow or maybe orange anodized parts. I added orange parts to my otherwise dull mat black bike just to add a bit of pop. Nice job on the Honzo.

Color is subjective for sure. I don’t usually go purple either, but it complements the green/gold frame well imo

Looks awesome! Those colors pop! The Wolf Tooth bling bits really contrast nicely with that frame color. I’m currently running that same Teravail tire combo but with CushCore and wider rims. Perfect for hardtail’s in So Cal!

The rims will be a concern. I’ve got trail wides on the Hightower but I’m seeing if the XC wides will do on the hardtail. I’ll address rim width in the bike check video coming this week

Cool vid. I dig the purple: actually, I have had two purple or purple accented bikes last few years, so...yeah. Rocking the same seat clamp and wheels on my SS HT =) Been looking into Honzo as a possible frame upgrade to my SS HT, and sliding dropouts would help, since I ride in SoCal, I've been spoiled with frames with capacity for two bottles... which leaves the Honzo ST/DL out, and I am gravitating more towards a Specialized Fuse or Salsa Timberjack.

I noticed you went with a size medium. How tall are you and how do you like the fit?

Sizing chart says I’m medium, but geo numbers actually suggest a small honzo is closer to my medium Hightower. Still, I went medium on the honzo, and with a 35mm stem, the fit is great.
