I fitted the SWmotech flat pegs, which can be adjusted up down forward and back. The flatter pegs make a huge difference. I also fitted a nicecnc rear brake pedal, which folds up if you drop the bike. I fitted mine underneath rather than on top, as I prefer a low pedal when standing. I've put the ktm bashplate through some hard times, and it copes a treat, with some loud ding noises letting you know its doing it's job.

those motech pegs sound great , i may have to try some if these don't work out " it would be nice to lower them a little. Glad to hear the KTM plate is holding up well . I may have to get that brake pedal 🤗 safe riding friend :)

@@thebelligerentmechanic8916 I got mine off of amazon, it's a well made bit of kit. Also, another quality bit I put on mine is the venhill featherlight clutch cable. Can order in varying lengths/colours (colors) , and it makes for 1 finger clutch work. Brilliant (I always thought a cable was just a cable, but this is super cool) Riding safe is what got us to the ages we are ;) Enjoy every mile .

Thanks for video. Is that KTM parts house in Lexington, Ky.? I bought one of these motorcycles in Feb. I've removed grab handles and installed Moose racing tailrack, 15mm thick plastic, so far I like it. Barkbusters handgurds. I bought both of those from Revzilla. And I attached a larger kickstand pad, bought that from Amazon.

And, 1st service they did talk me into quickshifter. I like that, happy i got it.

I'm not sure? I think they were located in California. I still have the stock handguards but they are flimsy so i see some bark busters in my future , i may do that kickstand pad , i did have to stop in soft clay and it sunk pretty quick. Ride safe friend

@@thebelligerentmechanic8916 Thank you, be safe!!! I got the VPS Barkbusters. They come with extra plastic to add to handguard for more wind protection. The aluminum bars come with good mounting hardware.

My boots have aggressive bottoms as well, so I removed the pegs out of the pedal on the left/shift side. Made a difference. NiceCNC.

I didn’t remove mine, I’m gonna try to get used to lifting my foot
@RYwoodview5 ай бұрын
I removed just the front row of pegs. That makes it easy to tilt my foot forward to use either pedal, but preserves the grip of most of the pegs.

I'd like to see how to adjust the height of the shift and rear brake pedals.

I tried those pegs and used them without changing the levers and it was not awesome. I'll have to adjust mine when I've got time. I went back to the stock ones in the meantime.
@thebelligerentmechanic89166 ай бұрын
I know what you mean, they will take some getting used to. sounds like those SW Motech pegs might be the trick, adjustable front to rear and up and down . I have adjusted my levers ,its ok but i do have to take my right foot off the peg to shift down. constant compromises .

I am also going to go with the OEM skidplate. Much cheaper than the fancier ones as well.

there is also the GIVI , SW Motech skid plate options (atleast in Europe) They look a bit sturdier than the OEM powerparts and slightly cheaper.
@Motographyza6 ай бұрын
@@AlexandruGaal Correct, might have a closer look at them. As much as i like the black dog ones, importing it to where I am is just not worth it at all.
