I have a 2023 450XCF and a 2023 350XCF. Haven't rode the 350 yet, but the 450 doesn't feel like a 450 at all to me. I run the green map with traction control off. It's really smooth power. Not snappy at all like most 450s. I was surprised since it has a 52T rear sprocket.

I rode one of these after I rode the yz450fx, this bike was a teddy bear in comparison. I personally ride the 350 xc-f, best bike I have ever owned.

Most of these reviews leave me with the impression that most intermediate riders would have more fun on a 350.... Or is the extra power necessary for sand/snow? I only ride dirt.... Cheers!

This 2023 450 is going to be a snow bike so it is needed for that..but I think you are right, especially for single track the 450 is too much at least for me.

Totally agree, the 19-22 chassis where so much better for off-road. The 23 is stiff ! And transfers allot into front end. The power on the 350 is ridiculous! Not a fan, can only imagine a 450 Ps. No suspension break in. That’s an old myth. You will only have possible stiction from seals on debris on tubes.

The KTM 500 will make a better snow bike. It has the long stroke version of the same motor making more bottom end torque.

Have a 2021 500 EXC 6 days de-corked with exhaust and Taco Moto tuned GET ECU, with the mods the 500 is just not comparable to the power of the race 450's (XCF/SXF) in stock form on dirt or as a snow bike IMO. The 500 is heavier, lacks the high RPM capabilities, midrange and top end hit, and HP compared to the 450's. The all new 2023 450 XCF has even more power then the old 2022 450 XCF. However, Sherco makes a 500, I rode last year, that does work very well.

People going on about to much power. Theres never enough to much power. Just jump on the big boy and rip it. Id never get a 350 as i would get bored of the power and move up. Just get the big boy and learn it fully
