if you have the Harman Kardon system make sure you activate the B&W sound settings it will sound better!

Please do not do that it's not worth it and you have to reset to go back to harman kardon. You will lose the bass in b&w. I put underseat subwoofers but had no bass then had to go back to harman kardon to get better bass.

Hey, FYI, don't run your car in an enclosed space like your garage with the door closed. It'll full up with carbon monoxide which is super dangerous and you'll just pass out and never wake up.

Interesting that BMW doesn’t have all the ambient lighting colors available on some models. My 7 Series came with all the colors they offer on Bimmercode.

You don’t need to code it off. You can just go into the settings and turn it off from there. I can make a video on that.

Did you have any issues with BMW warranty because of changes you made via bimmerlink? Have they made any problems during service checks? I heard BMW likes to void warranty because of these kind of things.

I've taken my car for oil changes twice, and they haven't mentioned anything about the bimmer-code stuff. However, most of the stuff on this video doesn't work anymore with the latest update. Sadly, I only have a purple color and rolls royce sound

are you still able to code out the active sound design? this is supposed to eliminate the fake noises inside but still leave exhaust valve open on sport plus through iconic sounds.

@@_joeham you don’t need to code it out. There is a setting that lets you turn it off if you want straight from the car.

Have you managed to push any of cluster gauge themes? Seems like when I try with that same cable they give a bunch of different options for "activation codes" to try. Have you had any luck with any of these?

I haven't. I got the most recent update from BMW, and that caused everything to reset, and I went back to code all my stuff again. I noticed that Bimmercode has been updated and new things were on it. However, somethings don't work anymore, like I can't code the on/off feature anymore. Doesn't work. Just waiting on new updates from Bimmercode to see what new things they bring. Haven't tried Cluster changes, I don't believe i saw any.

I códed off. During an update it came back on and then I took it off.

I just coded the Auto Start Stop out Is this like bad for the engine or anything? And also does coding like mess up the car?

This code in particular won't mess up the car. Some of the more advanced once can mess up if done wrong. Essentially, BMW has options in different cars, but instead of making different parts they code different systems and remove buttons or add buttons. This allows you to access them. It's also not bad for the engine, but your milage in gas will probably be different as it won't be shutting down anymore. That's it

Latest BMW update and they stopped the auto start stop from being coded. Haven’t gone back to check it if is now working. Based on your comment I assume not. I Can look into the aircond what are you trying to do with it?

Good question. I want to say yes, however warranty as told by my BMW sales rep is not that simple. I was told if I add an exhaust, and my window doesn’t lower then warranty still covers the windows however if I add an exhaust and I get a check engine light then they wouldn’t cover it if the check engine light is coming because of the exhaust. It would also depend what codes you add. Color change won’t damage anything, engine auto stop start could be easy to tell but BMW would have to be able to prove but I could still go get my oil changes. I could always set it back to normal before taking the car in, and no one would know.

How do you put the car in diagnostic mode?

If you have a 23 like me, when you connect the cable and turn on the app, the car gets in diagnostic mode on its own. You will see if pop up in the screen. If you have a 22 and below I’m not sure how to do it but I’ve seen videos that you have to hold some buttons at the same time.

Tried doing the same thing to turn off the auto start stop in my 2023 330i, but after startup, it seems to reset to default again, so I have to manually turn it off. Does it work in your car so you don't have to press the auto start stop button after each startup?

yeah, it worked for me. Mind telling me the steps that you did to see if you are missing anything? If you want I can make a separate video where I do it again remove it, and add it back on to see if you did something wrong.

@@G20Storm I disabled the auto start stop feature thru bimmercode and after code, I unplugged the obd scanner and start up the car but the auto start stop off light beside the shifter is not on, which means it is on by default right?

@@williamsutanto1678 Um for that I would have to look into it, I assum you are not from the US right? Cause my BMW doesn't have a button for the Auto On/Off, there was no way for me to disable it without the code, you have a button. Let me look into it

@@G20Storm Yes I'm in the US, and I just looked at the interior of M340i from Google and noticed that there's no button for auto on/off. I guess it's only available in 330i? Anyways, I like the videos in your channel, I'm also planning to change that small rear spoiler soon!
