Spring for the turbo, you won't be disappointed. I own a CX30 turbo premium. 9 months later, I still smile when I drive it. Fun to drive, sporty, comfortable. Great commuter car.

Girlfriend just bought this Car. She paided $35.500 for it. It's Black on Black. She got a Lifetime Warranty on the Motor and Powertrain. They threw in the back Rubber Mat 😊. The 2.5 actually puts out 191 HP. 186 Torque. Car is Actually Spectacular.. First time driving A AWD. Getting some use to. Nice Video on the Car. Mazda Knocked this One out of the Park!!! Easily the best Crossover in its size/price segment (in my opinion), if you can get past the abundant, generically-uniform black plastic cladding/bumper. I'm not a fan of cylinder-deactivation technology now being added to all CX-30 trim levels in 2023 though. Glad I bought my CX-30 CE back in early 2022 (& it has been defect/problem-free thus far).
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
They are great and hold their own against the rivals! I agree and am also unsure why such excessive cladding. It’s almost worse than my Outback Wilderness (which is suppose to look rugged, lol). Glad you’re enjoying your 30!🙂
@tteokbokkisdiary Жыл бұрын
It has 191 hp bc its the 2023 model. They updated the engine hence the slight increase in hp. The updated engine also have the cylinder deactivation feature which wasn't available in recent cx30 models. Bc of this the fuel economy got better in this years model with 26 city 33 highway 29 combined compared to previous models which have 25 29 28 mpg

The basic model has 16 inch wheels with very large tires versus 18 inch with low profile tires. It's an SUV, and they need those big tires. Using the manual shift it was able to clock 7.3-7.5 seconds on multiple runs. My dealer offered superior leather as an option, and it saved a lot money.

That is a serious inconvenience lol. I use to strap it in as a joke in the back seat. But quickly realized it’s very convenient to strap it in the front where it doesn’t fall over like that and I can access my gear. 😂

Which trim models include the heads up display? That is a great feature and new to me. Good job with the review. I wish the screen was touch-screen and I wish the car has wireless Apple CarPlay as well
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
That’s a good question, I would look up Mazdas website and go through various trim levels and look for all standard features to confirm you find an answer. Different markets of this vehicle might be spec’d differently depending on where in the world you live. Also, in my Miata I have wireless AA/AC, it’s a game changer! Thanks for watching and the kind words! 🙂

The 2020 CX-30's (2.5 L AWD) front differential, has a major problem. The fill plug has a metal bracket that partially covers it. You cannot remove the plug as it is. Could you make a video that would show how to move the differential enough that drivers could do a fluid change? Mazda fixed the problem on the 2021 and newer CX-30's. Maybe it would be possible to swap a older bracket with a newer one? So far Mazda has blown me off for any kind of a fix. The dealerships have told me that the differential is "unserviceable". Thanks
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
That’s a great question, and an unfortunate engineering design flaw that one would think Mazda would make right for their customers. It’s not possible to lift the vehicle and the front differential separately, or does the bracket move linearly to the differential moving? I’m sorry to hear about the situation, maybe with more time someone will develop a permanent fix when those thousands of 2020 models need the differential service done. 🙁 However, I appreciate you watching my video!

I’ve heard from several people that the seats are hard and on a long trip can be a problem. Can you give me your opinion on that?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
Great question Scott! I didn’t have any concern but I probably wasn’t in the vehicle long enough to give a proper opinion on that. It could also vary between the leather and cloth seats. But I will say working in physical therapy I can imagine the amount of padding an individual has in some of the pressure points areas as well as the bolstering on the seat could drastically vary between individuals. I’m sure the engineers think it’s comfortable, but obviously it hasn’t been for everyone. 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 🙂

What’s better this or the Crosstrek?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
They’re both great values and I don’t think you can go wrong either way IMO. Crosstrek is more capable off road with its ground clearance and superior AWD system, but CX-30 is more sporty in feeling/handling and in general visually more luxurious depending on trim level. Hope this helps! 🙂

Any idea if blind spot monitoring is included in all trims of the CX-30?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
Great question, I would assume so potentially as a requirement for its top safety pick +. But I’m looking at Mazda’s website standard feature details on the lowest CX-30, the 2.5 S. I see adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, etc. But I don’t specifically see BSM. Long story short, I’m not entirely sure. But thanks for watching!🙂
@tteokbokkisdiary Жыл бұрын
Blind spot monitoring is only available on the select variant. Just above the 2.5 S model (base variant)
@inctru Жыл бұрын
The SELECT trim is the sweet-spot trim level on the CX-30 IMO.

Does this have Bose speakers? The basic premium model?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
Good question, it’s suppose to! However due to the chip shortages and supply chain issues some of these models like the one in the review lose out on that feature and got a $400+ credit off MSRP. That can make it difficult to order one and be unsure if it will include the Bose, rather than finding one that’s on the lot with Bose. Thanks for watching! 🙂
@leeiansd Жыл бұрын
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Did you enjoy the 8 speakers in this car? Not bad?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, not bad, especially with the cabin size of this car. If you don’t immediately get out of a Bose car and hop in a non Bose car I don’t think you’ll know as much of what you’re missing. And you can always upgrade the speakers down the road if the system isn’t included and you need more. 🤷♂️

@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Hey Bud, I’m on my 4th Ranger. Our current one is a 2011 XLT super cab 4X4 4.0L V6 auto transmission, LSD, tow pkg. It’s Silver 🤮😂, so I had it 2 toned in Silver over Red metallic. I then added skid plates, running boards, custom wheels, custom upholstery to match the exterior paint colors, LineX spray in bed liner and air shocks on the rear so the truck doesn’t sag while hauling heavy loads. Before adding a K&N intake and a FlowMaster exhaust system, I was getting 19mpg on the freeway with the cruise set on 75mph. I now get 23mpg. We mainly use it for work around our property so it only has 35K original miles. 2012 Ranger’s and older with either the 2.3L or the 4.0L we’re actually very durable pickups. Have a great day ! Doc
