Luxury car brands are going all out for making highly safe cars. But armoured vehicles are in a different level. The numbers which I saw on the screen such as 4.2 tonnes kerb weight, and doors each weighing 250kg is simply mind boggling for S680 Guard....

No. High ground clearance equals to tàller vehicle. Which equals to higher centre of gravity. This leads to less dynamic handling while running away from danger. So all suchvehicles are typical sedans.
