2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Standard First Ride Impressions | TORQUE MONSTER, but can it TOUR?

Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello can be seen as Moto Guzzi's attempt at a new classic. They are introducing the first ever Category-breaking adaptive aerodynamics. The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is the first motorcycle in the world to incorporate adaptive aerodynamics. It reduces air pressure on the rider by adjusting the position of the deflectors in line with the speed and selected Riding Mode. They also introduced their first ever water cooled engine which is able to produce 115 horsepower and 77 ft-lbs of torque.

Well under 6 Ft tall, and windshield does well in low, so higher no different. V100 not perfect, but fine quality and so versatile as to be useful for various riding situations. Torque band indeed intoxicating. Bought the S.

The S spec is definitely the one to buy …however I purchased the standard red model as I think the single colour looks better …I have had the heated grips and quickshifter put on at first service ..loving the bike . A real head turner , everyone who sees it loves it ..

Thanks for watching! I should have also mentioned that I am sure the maintaince cost long term are going to be cheaper on the V100 than the competition due to the expose heads. How many miles on yours and any issues?

@@jdbmoto My local dealer here in Austin TX told me the small service is in the low $400's and the larger alternating service is in low $600's. I'm currently riding a BMW R1250RT and services have gone through the roof. $499 for a small service (oil and filter and some inspections) and the large service I had in Nov 22 was $1052 which is nuts for a two cylinder bike.

I did the same, I bought a white one as I didn't like any of the S colour schemes. I did add heated grips, TPS, MIA, Paniers and a centre stand to mine. Absolutely love it.

I believe it could be a very capable 2-up tourer when properly equipped with the touring windshield, side bags and top box.

Yes, you must take off the passenger seat to remove the panniers. The upside to that is there are no ugly mounting racks left behind on the bike when the panniers are off.

that is true, I guess I am just seeing it from an ease of use while on the road especially if you are loaded on a long ride and you want to remove the panniers. On the other hand, they will not fall off the bike like other bikes. Thanks for watching!

Great review and info. I test rode an S in early Mar and I have an S Verde on order. Supposed to arrive in mid-May. Just pointing out a safety observation. When one stops at a light, bike should be kept in gear with clutch in. If someone is not paying attention behind you, if bike is in gear you can accelerate away. If you're in neutral with hands off the grips, no way you'll be able to get out of the way in time. Thanks for the vid.

Would be curious to know what your VFT was when new compared to the V100. Maybe a lot closer than we think.

@@jdbmoto Yupp the VFR has become unfashionable so i got a good deal, i wood like a Guzzi but just cannot bring myself to trade in my VFR!
