I've got a guzzi v85tt that I picked up for 9000euros with luggage and a lot of extras. (secondhand). Love it and it has been very reliable. Working on it is a dream. Valve jobs and most repairs are easily accessible. No chain maintenance to worry about. I have been looking at the mandello, bit its pricey without any accessories. It's 15499 euros for the base model. But it has nothing. The luggage, although neat is bespoke and is a 1000 euro option. Add heated grips, maybe a crash bar, center stand, rear rack and top box, dealer fees fees and you are looking at 17k out the door. Maybe more and that is a lot of money for a sports tourer. Although I like my motoguzzi very much, they should have at least included a center stand and rear rack in the base price.

Test rode it and found that the tyres while giving a lot of stability on the straights or motorway journeys, may detract a bit of it's nimbleness on twisty roads. Sportier tyres would make the bike extremely fun to ride in a sportier manner. Other than that I found this to be among the best options on the market nowadays and a rather elegant proposal.

I always thought the transvers V-Twin was neat. My fathers 1980 Honda CX500 has a similar style of engine. They're just so different when you're swimming in a sea of parallel twins and Harley Davidson style V-Twins. I'd say for me, being from the states, the sounds of the engine grumble of the MG reminds me of an old big block v8. Low revving but powerful sounding versus the high pitched screams of sport bikes. :)

Honda copied MG with the CX.
@Slane583 Жыл бұрын
@@Topnikko Possibly since manufacturers get design ideas from their competitors and like to copy them. But also I read up that Honda supposedly originally engineered the CX's engine for use in a small displacement car. The original design was also suppose to have over-head cams but was then switched to using push rods for reliability reasons. But of course that's only what I read. Weather or not it is true is to be determined. Even if Honda did copy Moto Guzzi them and MG are still the only two motorcycle makers that have bikes with that engine design. Of course the engine design being the staple of MG's. :)

I really like the Moto Guzzi bran I've owned a v7 carbon dark awesome bike had some strange problem with the clutch cable but other than that great. The problem in Canada is designated dealerships. The price for this model is very good just over 21,000 Canadian. But does not come with side cases. The V 85tt models come with side cases I don't know why they don't have a model with them included hopefully that's coming in the future. Hi, nice and useful video. This machine looks pretty interesting. Might give it a try on a test ride. The power train sounds strong and agreeable. By the description, it looks that Moto Guzzi have made something more refined with this project. It was a pity that you couldn’t extract a lot from the ride on this day. The weather wasn’t in the best condition for it. But your enthusiasm was quite something! I own a BMW R Nine T Scrambler 2023 model and I love that bike. But I’ll test ride this one and take my conclusions after. I usually don’t rely a lot on Italian bikes, but this can be an exception. They can’t go on too much further if they only design beautiful and powerful bikes. If they want to be competitive on this market, they need to improve on the reliability of their craft and Industry. So, I hope this represents that step forward in what concerns to Italian made products in this two wheels business world. Thanks, once again for the nice video 👍🏻
